It's more in tune, but they could've added more detail. Look at the ghost rider's base. More creativity went into the base. Also they could've done something similar to Moore's Lady Death base.

I guess it's because people will want to display her next to some of the other X-related characters in museum style poses which seem to have simpler bases such as Cyclops, Colossus, Magneto, etc.

I believe he will eventually do Storm in a more stoic, regal pose also as her statue was in action form.

Why would you display her with X-related characters. It would be better with either Ironman or Nick Fury (especially the Stealth version).
