Comparing the Avengers to LOTR is like comparing whether they'll make another iPod to whether they'll make another Zune.
The Marvel license is a cash cow for SSC and I guarantee that in a couple of years you'll still see product from it coming. Especially given the spoilers hitting you'll see not only the main team but a ton of other things from the film no problem.

Not so much comparing franchises (Star Wars is the undisputed king anyway) as pointing out SS's track record. They do have a long history of questionable choices.
If you think we'll be getting a lot of SS product from the Avengers movie for years to come (I'm avoiding spoilers) do you think we will also get more from the Cap & Thor movies? Both were good films that made a ton of money, but each has had only one statue.

Without spoiling anything for those who want to go in fresh, The Avengers keeps continuity and mentions with the films before it AND has a lot of Marvel goodness within it. I think they'll tap that well hard just because it will encompass a lot.

I'm looking forward to seeing what SSC does in 1/4 from the Avengers. I don't have room for more 1/4 really but i still can't wait to see what they do.

Yeah, this is the way I have to go. For now. If they do Black Widow from Avengers in 1/4, I will of course get it. But other than that, no. I already have quite a few PF's (almost 20) and that's just pf's. I, like many of you, have 12", busts, maquettes, etc, etc. There's just no room for an entire 1/4 team.
