I know the Oscars mean very little but I sooo wanted this to win for Visual Effects and Cinematography! So happy to see this masterpiece get recognized! :rock

The oscars are utterly meaning less.....

But there is no doubt this films visuals are the best in years....nevermind this year.

The good thing is that the oscar winners are watched by a lot of people.
My exe's mom had the hobby of renting every movie that won the oscars. Even the technical stuff. We watched some of them in the past. Sometimes winning gives it a little bit of new life

think of the Oscars are publicity for these movies. Thats all.
that is its purpose. nothing more. you get celebrities in a room praising some good movies that you should see

The most impressive thing to me is still that it got made and released at all. The accolades are nice but I think they will just lead to meatheads falling asleep for their curiosity.

[emoji119] I am just glad that it won best cinematography. Visual Effects could have went to War for the Planet of the Apes but cinematography absolutely 2049 was the clear winner.

In my perfect world, 2049 won for best picture and best director so that's the reality I'll choose to live in [emoji23]
