This piece I picked up during the Black & White sale for half price.... and I must say that it is probably one of the best dio' I have got. both the reg and ex's have the light up feature. the difference between the reg and ex's is the switch out hand for either the sword or gun.

i also just got this piece from a fellow freak and have to say i'm very pleased with it also. def one the best sideshow has done imo and the size of it is huge compared to the one they've been doing lately.

agreed, i only own all three versions of hulk/spidey, cap/skull, scar/savage, thor/loki, spidey/venom/sandman, dracula/blade and soon to arrive wolverine/sabertooth and x-men #1.

so i guess i do own a few dios, but the ones i own now are certainly larger and more iconic than most of the ones they've released as of late. probably the biggest beef i have with the latest dios is the size of them, they're just so damn small

I will get flack for this, but this is my favorite dio. The Spidey and Hulk may tie it. I definitely want that dio!

How much should I spend on a Hulk vs. Spidey dio? I seen some recently go for just under 700 USD. Thought they were going for more than that. Recent economy?

didn't think i was bragging and i didn't mean to come across as such, but either way spidey/hulk regs seem to be in the 600-800range, while the ex's seem to be in the $900-$1000. though it's been sometime since i've watched any since i've got the ones i need now.
i don't know about you, but if i had the choice i'd go with the ex. versions that way you know you're going to get a legit and not a fake one.

yeah great game, canada better kick it up a notch for the next tough match up or they're going to be going home. i think it might have been a good wake up call for them.

ps: i also have a fake reg spidey/hulk dio and it's not that easy to tell them apart with the paint finishing as some would think. the only two ways i could tell them apart is in the paint scheme of the light pole and the black lines on spideys outreached hand.

actually i purchased the fake dio before i'd even known about recasts.
them when i found this forum i read about it only about a week after i'd purchased it and hadn't even recieved it yet.
well when i got it i couldn't tell the differance and thought it was legit, but after receiving my other dios i noticed the subtle differances in them and when the first one was the only one that was differant than the others, i figured it had to be fake.
like i said alot of people will automatically base their opinion on the color scheme or paint shine, but in fact my legits and fake are all fairly close in them respects.

as for destroying the fake, i won't go that far but rather i'm planning on putting it to good use. when i receive my x-men #3 dio with the extra wolverine/logan i'm planning on making a hulk vs wolverine/logan dio with it.

Yup, that's what I was going to say. I don't have the silver Surfer vs. Hulk Diorama, so can't completely judge, but I do think that all subsequent dios after this one haven't been by any means spectacular. This Blade/dracula diorama is very underrated. The light feature is great.

while definately not as large as some of the earlier dios, it's just a great piece that has two seperate movable characters (why ssc never bothered to mention this in it's description i have no idea) also has many displaying options with hulks switchout helm and weapons.
most definately the best out of the latest dios and in the same playing field as the earlier ones imo

Wait guys, I forgot about the Hulk vs. Surfer dio... thing is half the size of the Blade, but the detail is phenomenal. It should have been 50 bucks cheaper due to its size, and no light up feature. But it's definitely an amazing piece!

yeah that's the only thing holding it back from the other elite dios imo.
still the best of the crop that ssc has produced in the past year or so.
