Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

I see what you're saying, that's true.

However, I would have to disagree when you say pregnancy and child raising is something that man never has to contemplate. Unless a female is artificially inseminated, I do believe that it requires two people of opposing genders to conceive a child. Typically, this should come at the responsible decision that both are ready and are able to financially support the prospective child and possess the wherewithal to be able to raise it adequately.

Of course there's always extenuating circumstances and things happen that don't necessarily go as planned, but I personally feel a 23 year old single female with a child that she's raising on her own with no help from the father, probably didn't make a very "adult" like decision when she opted to bear a child with a male that apparently wasn't mature enough nor financially able to raise a child. Most people want the fun in making them, but they don't want the "fun" in raising them.

So I suppose the point is that in the pregnancy case, the responsibilities of adulthood may come sooner for a female based on a potentially poor decision that she made (along with the father who probably already knows [or maybe he doesn't] that he's not mature nor responsible enough to have a child) as far as when to get and with whom to get pregnant with.

Anyway, I suppose this is really neither here nor there when it comes to 1/6 scale figures though. :lol :duff

I like your transparency over the matter.

Thanks. :duff

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

It's still a niche hobby, but it's gotten a lot bigger over time and maybe even starting to reach a saturation point among likely consumers. There was a time, not long ago, when I was considering shifting to custom figures only because manufacturers seemed to be hitting on the same licenses over and over again. But this year a lot of undeveloped licenses were announced (Ghostbusters, Conan, Jurassic Park, Star Trek, The Thing, Princess Bride, James Bond, etc.) and I'm now considering passing on customs altogether because it's much more likely that offbeat IPs will get licensed and we'll see figures. That and smaller developers are coming out of the woodwork to fill in the gaps. It goes to show that--mature or not--a lot of people are buying.

Jurassic Park?? What did I miss? Who is putting out who and when??

Really hope we see ecto 1 soon, I'm super excited for the figures but the car too is just too good to be true.
These are getting there own able/display for sure

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

I'm holding out. I wont preorder the figures untill they show Ecto 1 and make it available for preorder. The figures look amazing but I dont want to invest in them unless I can showcase them with car.

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

How much you guys think Ecto-1 will cost?

Hopefully the figures aren't sold out or waitlisted by that time.

I'm guessing probably around the same price as the four pack for the figures.

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

Hopefully they actually release ecto 1 at all. I'm getting a little worried at this point seeing as they missed the july unveil and we haven't heard anything about it since...

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

They posted on their Facebook page it would be revealed in October.

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

I pre-ordered Peter Venkman. As much as I love Ghostbusters and would want a 3 pack, I can't justify spending 800€ on this film. Space is also an issue.
I have the Mattel Venkman already and got Ray's goggles to hide his sad puppy eyes. Maybe I'll keep this guy behind the new Peter.

I'd like to think so. Announcement before Christmas could be a good decision.

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

Just saw Blitzway's Tyler Durden and it doesn't look good imho. I hope they up their quality before releasing the ghostbusters.

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

Sadly I just had to cancel this set...the in hand pictures of Tyler Durden are so atrocious that I had to get out while I could still get my deposit back...lighting is one thing but the details of the sculpt and even, unexplainably the wardrobe???? reveal that Blitzway have definitely pulled a bait and switch with this figure. Probably not deliberately but...yikes...the Durden is Sideshow Collectibles quality at best and demonstrates that Blitzway are just not in the Hot Toys league which I consider to be the current standard. I cannot pay over $800 and just hope that I like them when they arrive when the Durden pictures are showing me where Blitzway is right now...

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

yeah brlliant prototypes but the secret to success is the PRODUCTION product- and after seeing how they cheaped out on production pieces of Fight Club you have to wake up and realize Ghostbusters will be the same. Just cancelled my PO for the four pack. I can get it later if I want but taking no chances with that kind of money..
