I believe the ones that were displayed at SDCC were production pieces.

My feeling as well......which is pretty close to proto....

Would be nice to see a sneak peak before shipping. My guess is the usual panic pics a few day before shipping...

Yes, I think so also. The Egon sculpt was definitely different than the prototype, as it looked improved upon. What I meant to say in my comment was I believe the SDCC photos are the only photos thus far of what I'm fairly certain were the production pieces.

Were there any decent photos of Venkman from SDCC? Apparently he was in the car but I wondered if anyone got some.

Sneak peaks would be great. Even hot toys will release some teasers through JC Hong's Facebook account or on their Facebook page every once in a while. Either way, I'm confident that they will be amazing. Maybe we'll get lucky, and they will put something out on their Facebook page a few days before release. But yeah, I can't wait for the pictures that look like they were taken by a cell phone manufactured in 2001.

I agree, the new Egon HS looks tweaked in all the right ways.

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

I think we are seeing the genius of KA Kim. The Egon prototype looked so severe because I believe she sculpts deeper and more intensely for some expressions. I think they really didn't change the sculpt, it just softened up on the production lines. I think she knows this and plans accordingly.

Hope fully the production process does not soften up the other guys too much....especially Winston who was perfect.

BW weakness, if they have one, is the paint apps are always weaker..sometimes quiet a bit...

That scares me. Reason I didn't preorder.

I hope to pick up the boys as individuals if they turn out like the protos.

Hate that I'll miss Slimer though... Hoping a Terror Dog shows up at some point.

this is strange, I have their Rocky statue & no complain from the paint app.

If......they.....have.....one......

This is the main thing people complained about with Tyler. Personally I think he came out great and the Proto / Production drop off was the usual.

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

It's very good, but far removed from the proto, and it gives him too much of a tan. I think it's equivalent to a lesser ht paint effort. But that is still really good imo.

I too would be concerned about the skin tone. None of the white 'Busters were tan. Just Pale faced New Yorker's.

Very true, but I do think we will get "idolized" white skin......

No one wants to paint fish belly skin on a figure.....

Hell Tyler was pretty pale in Fight Club....he was suppose to be out mainly at night.

What am amazing scenario that a 1/6 Bill Murray and a 1/6 Dan Aykroyd will BOTH be released on the same day! Good times for figure collecting!

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

Yea they look great.....a little pink blush to the cheeks , great looking 5 o'clock shadow....but yet still too tan....

All in all it's a knock out of that's production.

I'm not sure, the Egon sculpt looks a bit reworked to me, as you said yourself last month something looks different.

Dunno you may be right....something looks different....but in a good way......

Looks like the jaw was reworked....and overall head shape?

The expression of the mouth doesn't looks as pronounced as it was on the prototype, and the eyes looks a bit more spaced out and not as beady and narrow. The jaw area also looks reworked to where he doesn't have as much of a triangular shaped face, as the proto seems to have. Even though I thought the proto was good, I think the production is definitely improved.
