Amazing photos, RichAlot! Best I’ve seen.

It’s seem Blitzway have really stepped up (Quality wise) from the Tyler release, i was not fond of the red jacket version.

Makes me regret only getting Venkham.

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

No comparison at all tbh, as posted above the comparison shows how weak the Snyder sculpt is and how superior the Blitzway head-sculpt.

Still not getting the hate for Venkman, some people just like to moan and regurgitate the same comments. :dunno

Enjoy the figures and move on.

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

The Winston paint looks ok with the latest picture.

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

I said this when I initially posted pics, but you can hide the botched paint app by under lighting it.

Enjoy your opinion and move on. And let people have a different one from yours - and express it.

Yup, you see the "same comments" regurgitated in every thread - "I love it, anyone who disagrees with me, move on!":slap

I've bought the Venkman (and Ray,) the Murray sculpt is solid but somewhat lacking to me in pics so far - that's not "hate," it's part of an evolving discussion as new pics and vids appear of the figure under different lighting and lenses. Many have expressed reservations. Let me work through how I feel about the products I have spent $450 on but won't have in-hand for another month - and let others do the same.

As I always say when I see these lame-*ss "move on if you don't like it" type comments - maybe go ahead and set up a new "Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - NO negative comments" thread so you can get together with like minds and regurgitate the same glowing comments for hundreds of pages. Meanwhile, in the real world where figures have to earn wide acclaim, let others say whatever they want - positive and negative.

The Murray sculpt with a trench coat and microphone would make an awesome Groundhog Day display. Hope someone tries it!

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

Scored Winston on BBTS, as he went from being sold out to showing that they had another unit up for PO, which I pounced on. He now reads "sold out" again. I liked the $228 shipping included price rather than the $252 at other places.

Feel much better, now that I know I'll have the full team.

NICE SHOTS!!!

Great sculpts all the way around....

As Toys said....Winston look alot better in alternate lighting. Still way to dark.....but you can see the sculpt is great. Such a shame, to take a great sculpt and lessen it with lazy paint....

The sculpts aren’t perfect, but neither is any HS in this hobby. If we really wanted to, we could tear down HT’s Dr. Strange, their Reeve Superman, which are arguably some of the best HT sculpts out there.

Being in the hobby for as long a many of us have, we are all going to be critical in our own way.

One of my ultimate joys are when just regular joes or friends come into my house and are blown away by the realism of the figures I collect. So far everyone has been floored by Blitzway’s ghostbusters. I mean literal mouths dropping open.

That’s a nice reminder to me that I shouldn’t be so critical myself, and should be enjoying the hell out of what I own.

:exactly:

Sculpts on figures that I have that I personally think are roughly a 7/10 in terms of likeness, anyone that I've had over has looked at the figure and said that it looks just like him or her.

Everyone that I've shown pictures of the final headsculpts to of the GB have stated that they all look dead on.

These are only 1/6 scale figures. I don't think you can 100% capture someone's face in that scale. You can get pretty darn close though.

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

But it's not about people wanting to "tear down" anything.:slap:gah::rotfl

Criticism is what IMPROVES things. It drives - forces - 1/6 companies to do better each year. Criticism over the years is one of the things that has given us that "realism of the figures." Yet your takeaway from that extreme realism in your collection is that "I shouldn’t be so critical"? To me that's 1000% counter-intuitive.

And are we seriously saying that non-fans - and the random visitor who has no knowledge of 1/6 at all (what has come before, what is state-of-the-art and what is cutting edge) are the best judge of the quality of a 1/6 figure? I'm sure a lot of people who haven't seen GB in 15+ years, are not really a Murray fan but know who he is, and who know nothing about 1/6... would really like the Matty Venkman (especially the outfit,) or love a pretty solid Venkman custom. And I'm sure a lot of random visitors would be blown away by a cabinet full of 2007-2010 Sideshow figures.

But this "pleeez, we should just enjoy the figures..." thing - just because you've reached a 1/6 happy place for the moment - has to stop. Just let others - who may be providing the very feedback on those "sculpts aren't perfect" figures that makes a DIFFERENCE on the next generation of 1/6 - do and say their thing ( feel free to insert "like 1/6 companies take any notice of 1/6 forums!" comment:slap.)

Just let the products stand the test in these threads - don't turn the thread into some little safe harbor where we should all just feel thankful we have a 12" Venkman doll at all and should just discuss the positives. 1/6 continues to improve BECAUSE of feedback and criticism, not DESPITE it.

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

Nothing wrong with objective/subjective criticisms at all....

What gets me are the trolls that pop in and say "THESE SUCK@!"

then leave.....

Well why do they suck? Whats wrong with them to your eyes, besides (they look nothing like them).

There is a lively debate going on in the new Rey thread that pretty much a great conversation about what poeple like and do not like about that figure...even quiet a few photo shops to demonstrate the issues.....
