It kills me that I never managed to get Ray or Egon to go with my Venkman... and because of that I'd say keep this display. It's gorgeous and it will only be worth more in 3 years for the 40th Anniversary. If you really need the space and something has to go, sell the car. If you must...

I've finally decided to get my Venkman repainted. Apart from Winston, Venkman has the worst paint apps.
Egon and Ray came out pretty good. This is a photo from my painter from his personal collection.
He'll try to replicate it for mine.

yeah... especially when you compare it with the stock paint. Repaint is gonna cost me the same price as the actual figure at about $200.

But... favorite character, favorite movie... oh well... sometimes people just want nice things.

Has anyone found similar but sturdier replacements for the fragile buckles on the proton packs anywhere? There are a few 1/6 buckles available on Ebay but they look a bit oversized compared to the Blitzway ones.

The paint is by Maximus Miniatures (a.k.a. Maximus-Miniatures), and they improved over the years.

Yes, the coat and the scarf are wrong color, but there is nothing to choose from.

My Venkman headsculpt is finally repainted. The artist sent me some pics and sent it through the mail. Should be getting it within 48 hours. Pretty Excited.

The hair looks a little on the lighter side, but he assured me the eyes aren't as blue and the hair is darker. He just took pics under a white light which reflects the colors unnaturally.

Also notice the additional detail on the side of his forehead... so much better ! ! !
