Star ace has much better quality- their Steve McQueen is pretty nice very close to HT- this turned out bad- well very bad to be honest. Yeah SSC lives on with these figures..the tailoring- what happened there?

Man I can't let this go...I have never been more active on a thread...probably because I am so disappointed that posting has become a form of therapy...I am not being hyperbolic but this headsculpt really looks like what I would expect from a 7 inch figure from NECA if they got the Fight Club license and put these in a Toys R Us...in fact I think the sculpts AND the paint apps on NECA's Hateful 8, Django, and even some of their Aliens and Prometheus figures are possibly superior to this head sculpt.

Looks like a rush job. And unfortunately, nothing kills a good sculpt quicker than bad factory paint apps. Truly a shame if this is what the end version ends up like.

Not a rush job to me- just cheap poor quality paint aps and tailoring that was cost cut way down ...or maybe they choose the wrong factory because of lower costs- but why would they approve a factory sample which all companies get to a-ok production??

It appears that Blitzway is really just a "B" Player in the 1/6 figure game...

I maybe suggest posting or messaging the Blitzway Facebook page letting them know that you guys aren't happy at least this would help with future release's such as Ghostbusters. I totally understand that it can't be 100% perfect but this has a a paint app of a knock off sculpt.

Looks better in this picture. I'm not worrying yet, going to wait for better pictures.

That's still a long ways away from the prototype, and the shirt he's wearing is off no matter what lighting you view him under.

Classic first crappy picture panic :lol

Normally I'd agree, but when you have a company who hasn't really proven themselves the way HT has and their first final production photo is an extreme far cry from what the prototype advertised, I do feel there is room to be concerned.

The shirt collar had patterns. Granted they are off in placement which most figures are.

And $500 staying in my pocket, easy pass here. Really hope the ghostbusters do not suffer the same fate.

"I think I understand now. When Blitzway drops the ball, members of Project Mayhem have a name. His name was Resident Eric. His name was Resident Eric. His name was Resident Eric."

Classic first crappy picture panic :lol

Those were good quality pictures dilweed. The sculpt looks like a square, the paint is soft and orange, the mouth looks like it was melted in an unfortunate shmelting accident and the tailoring looks like it took a hit, not too bad though. Definitely not worth retail at this point.

I'm keeping the faith for a bit yet! I had both Scarface and Carlito and both were great so can't believe they would throw all that quality away.

Ok I stand corrected I previously said that this figure was below Sideshow quality...this picture may inspire some hope that the figure will be at Sideshow quality...somewhere in Hong Kong today Hot Toys executives are breaking out the champagne.
