Believe it or not, I managed to get PC to send me another one of these :lol

Supposedly they went over it with a fine tooth comb to make sure there were no flaws before shipping it out.

Hoping to have it tomorrow as they are in the same state as me. Seriously hope this one is good, as I'm truly over it!

Good luck !
Did they put it together and check the lean as well ?

Mine came today, just unboxed him. I think i got a good one altho he was covered in that white stuff... looked like a snail had been in there but cleans off easy enough. First impressions, totally awesome. The body is better than i thought and the head sculpt is crazy good. Il go a little more indepth soon :)

Ok excuse the pics , will take some better ones soon. Well I love this piece and super happy I jumped on this. the base is super awesome and massive. The claw has a nice weight and is a decent extra to the statue. I really like the body. It does have a translucent look to it and there are some nice , faint ish pink hues in there. I think it would have been nice to see some of the veins with some faint blues and is something I may look into. the pain app is better on this statue with slight freckles and dots applied to the skin tone. I actually think its painted very well. The pose is totally awesome and the head sculpt, man, that is a work of art. Its bang on and has tons of expression. I also feel the sculpt and im not sure why, has a much more sense of realism about it. The cuts are a bit disappointing but not a deal breaker. I just wish they wasnt so evenly placed as there isnt much scope to mess around with them. The sweat is the biggest disappointment imo. Again, no deal breaker but just strange. Some parts of it on the face work well, subtle and beeded. You then have these clotted blobs in a straight line on the arm. I find it baffling how blitzway can again come up with an awesome statue and nail nearly every aspect then go and apply the sweat in this manner . Its certainly not terrible but its way below their standard . I stick to my original thoughts before seeing this. Out of the 2, Id say the GOD is the better statue. If i had to choose one, id choose this every time.
Il probably look to do a little work on him this weekend hopefully so will post some updated pics.

nice photo's mate.happy you got a good un.will be interesting to see what work your gonna be doing on this.i think this being ETD raises the preference to this over GOD,although I agree the GOD is the better one.

Thanks Sab and Mrchris. Yea I really do feel this can be improved with a few touches here and there. God has more going for it but id still pick this purely pose ,sculpt and paint alone. This just looks more realistic to me. And the translucent skin on the body really adds to this.
Im really happy with this. Its actually better than what I thought it would be.

Got a few idea's for the sweat. Just not sure which route to go. Will def experiment on something.

I find it weird how you would pick this over GOD, yet you say GOD is the better statue out of the two. Are you just being objective when you say that GOD is the better statue? :huh

I think the GOD has more going for it . For me, it's a close call but the GOD probably has more pros mainly due to the fact it has more options due to the switch outs, weapons and variation. Everything is wel done.

The ETD is just a stand alone piece with a claw but the paint is very well done and the likeness is better IMO. I would personally base my decision on how well the likeness is and the paint app first and foremost and I do feel its better on this piece.

To sum it up, the GOD does most things very well. The ETD is similar but with a few weaknesses and a few exceptionally well done parts and its those parts that would sway me.

So let me get this straight. If you were to b objective you would say the GOD is a better statue but if you had to choose which one you like better and thus, prefer personally, it would the ETD one right?

Yeah I suppose if we were to be objective, that would be the case. I know it kinda sounds weird as id have to say the GOD is better overall but the ETD for me just looks more impressive. Even with its obvious and somewhat annoying flaws.

Not weird at all man, it's just personal preference. ;)

I think the suit on GOD makes it "pop' more if you follow.likeness is better on ETD but I would go with the yellow dude as I just love Bruce's persona in the film.

Everyone thought the suit was bright yellow because it looked that way when the blue filter was added to make it look like night, which changed the color tone look of the suit. So that is obviously why the Kill Bill suit is bright yellow.

Interesting, never knew that. The movie was on TV the other week.

Yeah it was, I have never watched it in HD before so I was so surprized that it was so obvious those "look a likes" were not Bruce Lee. It was easier to get away with in the old days with VHS because of the poor quality as the film not only looked blurrier but also darker, thus you were not able to see those GOD Bruce Lee clone's faces as clearly.

Yeah, it's pretty bad. I wonder had he lived whether he would have kept doing movies into the eighties or if the Van Dammes and Segals would have superceded as the new and younger kids on the block. All the years in between, ETD still feels like the high water mark IMO.

without bruce I doubt if any of the following martial arts stars would have happened.he did indeed pave the way for them..bruce did say that in 1980 he would have retired, but I think he would have gone into directing and maybe the odd comeo/guest spot..have you noticed that the ''cardboard'' cutout has been replaced by an optical shot in the scene where hugh O'Brien threatens the lookalike on the GOD blue ray.
