Yeah it doesn't look too bad there, but the head sculpt still looks toy looking and not realistic like EBs ones do. I don't know this is probably the only video I have seen of it where it actually looks like it has some color and tones to it because it sure has zero color/tones in this one.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oeQ4u47SQxY

And I believe the above video is how it will actually look, since the GOD paint job was so plain.

Well Raf said the same thing when he got his GOD, he said you can tell it doesn't look realistic it looks like a plastic head but I guess he used to buying CM statues that use silicon for skin. With the right paint job these PVC head sculpts can almost look as soft looking like the real thing but because Blitzways paint jobs are not up to par, they just look plain looking and toy like.

Really? I have to say pretty much all the pictures I saw of it (except the ones with the flash) were what it looked like in hand. The paint job didn't look good (but didn't look bad either) in any pictures or videos I saw. However, the eyes on the GOD looked almost like glass eyes whereas the eyes on this just look like plastic painted eyes.

To be fair, I think the thing that was throwing it off for Raf mostly was the sculpted hair hence why he is working on real hair right now. I think he said he preferred the translucency application of his other Bruce Lee statue. All the pictures I saw looked decent but the videos never gave me the reaction that most of theyre owners were getting. Is was only when I saw Atheris review which was taken with a good camera in superb lighting that really made me go wow. And even then, when I got it home, it still looked even better in hand . Im sure this will be the same.

there may be some subtle shading on the torso, although some of the red/pinkish shading on 1 of the vids seems to be coming from a red light/background catching the statue when the camera moves.i agree with the slash marks across the abs way too wide.

Oh so that explains why it is the only video or piece of media that shows that reddish hue that is responsible for the different shades seen through out the video. Wow that is so amazing how you picked that up. :clap

I just went over the statue forum and unlike this place everyone there hates this statue and thinks the HD1002 is better and this statue will not sell out.

not bad for an ole guy with bad eyes:lol
talking of the HD1002 there's one on ebay-uk BIN £155..crazy cheap!!

Is he still working on that? I didn't like his first one he did with real hair.

From what I recall he said you can tell it's plastic and not realistic like the CM one because that is made out of silicon.

I am surprized any of them made you go wow, I guess you are comparing these paint jobs to Sideshow's paint jobs, whereas I am comparing these paint jobs to EB's 1/4 scale figure sculpts paint jobs. I can't get over how real some of them look! :horror

Yeah it certainly solved the mystery, I was actually thinking well it looks good in this video so maybe it does look like this then and all the other pics and videos are wrong.

The HD1002 will probably become even more valuable because of there seems to be a lot of hate for this statue outside this board.

Ironically the guy selling the cheap enterbay hd1002 is trying to out it quick to buy the ETD Blitzway 1:3 lol

at that price I'd snap it up.gotta be saving £100 there.has he seen blitzway's yet:lol
notice how the cuts on the back of the EB are more accurate too:slap

He is probably only going by the proto pics. :lol

TBF though I stand what I said before the Blitzway one is a better statue it just lacks the realistic paint job but makes up for it with the incredible head sculpt!

I think he is still tweaking it. Wasnt really the paint job that had the wow factor, it was the statue on the whole. The paint app is nice and tight out of the box from the factory with no issues, sloppyness, bleeds.... unlike a lot of sideshow pieces. Yea when you see the t2 Arnie and some of they're others, they are very very good. In all my years of collecting, iv only had one factory piece which id consider to be faultless in terms of factory paint ups.

Ah ok, yeah overall it is a great piece. I can't believe Raf is still working on the hair.

Yeah Blitzway have good QC.

Oh what one is that?

I'm sooo glad i've only collected bruce..mind you it's been 40+years.:horror.
so glad he wasn't in frozen or it would be to my soon to be 9yr old..no hunny you cant have another elsa figure..bruce comes 1st:lol

I had HD-1002 for years and sold it off when buying the Blitzway GoD statue. I don't regret doing so.
For a start, the HD-1002 & 3 can have bad lean problems developing over time because the legs with pegs were PVC and bend over time.

But other than that, there is no real comparison.
When you take photos of things everything seems the same scale ....and yes, Hot Toys clearly are head and shoulders above everyone when doing that.
But in hand, scale matters. The Blitzway GoD statue blows everything away, including all the Enterbay Bruce Lee pieces.

This new one will be the same.
And I actually prefer this unique pose, especially the 'walking feet'

The elite creatures Reaper . It really is a stunning piece in all aspects especially the paint work.

Man you have done well to not sway lol. I try to stick to batman and terminator but thats a mine field in itself ;/

I was lucky enough to be around at the time bruce lee ''exploded'' onto the western world.if you were not around at that time you have no idea the impact that man had.and it pretty much continued into the ''vhs boom'' of the late 70's early 80's.and his inspiration continues to this day..so he's been with me a very long part of my life.i could go on and on,but this statue will be it for my collection(my 8yr old wants the ''yellow brucies'' when she's older:lol my mermories however will stay with me:)
