yeah easy peasy for james.:lol,I'm thinking some mirrored sheets (even acrylic) or on a roll you can get, then maybe some thinish playwood
could be made into a backdrop:dunno

Yea, lots of ideas are running through my head :) leave it with me and let me see what I can come up with. I'll also see if James can help too :)

Cool, well I finally PO'd just now :yess: the excitement alone from this possible hall of mirrors diorama was enough to push me over the edge :lol :lol now the long, long, long wait :impatient:

Hey Andy are you and that guy you know who's making the mirrors based in the UK ?

indeed brother :) are you interested? As soon as I can draw up some plans of how best to make it look and fit in with the base then i'll be happy to keep you all in the loop :) however, at this point I'm not certain on how easy it would be to ship internationally? :dunno

Yea I would love to own that mirror cause I'm gonna buy this statue anyway but like you said what would be the shipping costs.

:clap well done you..so there's about 6 months or so to plan your hall of mirrors.:wink1:

:lol :lol well, the good thing about it is this time i'll be in for the whole duration unlike the GOD version which I cancelled after a month :(

as I said andy flat packed:lol.yeah shipping could well be an issue:(

:lol flat packing is definitely an option but you'd need to then buy the specialist glue that James uses to get these thin panels of glass to stick together. Back in the day, I used to build my own acrylic display cases and all I can say is...that was pretty difficult to glue together with a syringe!!! :gah: plus you'd only have one go at fixing them together with no mistakes :horror it took me almost a month of practise before I managed to glue two sides of acrylic without getting glue over the sides :lol :lol

Yea, this would be something I could only tell you once the diorama has been completed...and that'll be once the statue is inhand so that I can get all the dimensions :(

oh well if I'm gonna afford to pay for this.i'd better drag my old aching body to work soon:(.
that's why I thought some plywood and mirrored roll/panels in either a U shape or L shape would be a easy-ish/cheap way of doing it.

Thanks Andy and I hope it will work,I will follow this step by step but when you see in hand pics and you know what to do you may send me a PM to remind me if it's not to much to ask.

Thanks bro and no worries :) I'll let you know what I come up with as soon as I have anything :hi5:

Just placed my order for this as well :) Wasn't gonna pass this up. Now the long wait (as I can't see this landing in January). Haven't been this excited for a piece in a long time.

I'm going to be making a hall of mirrors backdrop/diorama as well, similar to what Hot Toys done, just on a larger scale. As soon as I saw this I knew I'd have to make a backdrop for it to complete the look lol. I think it'll be fairly easy to put together, and 3mm mirror is fairly cheap (where I'm from anyway).

a 840mm x 350mm mirrored acrylic is about £13.so for an L shape backdrop £26 or £39 for a U shape...

The Onesixthbruce/WoodyInc 1/4 dio was in 3 seperate panels and could be flat packed for shipping ease.
It slotted together seamlessly and looked great.

I'd definitely be in for a dio if you can ship internationally!

Do you have any pics of that dio? Would be curious to see it.

Hey Chris, do you know which is more movie accurate? Is it the one used for the DX04 background or the one above used for the Enterbay version? :dunno Both seem to be different....

here's a pic andy.there is another panel on top of the brown square if you want accuracy mate.

:lol don't think i'll be building the background that high up ;) just wanted to see how the mirror design looks. I thought it was long thin sheets of panels going all the way down from top to bottom but it looks like there are actually cuts in the panels...If you look carefully, I think i see there are 3 segments of mirror per panel correct? :huh
