No way that'll be the weight. And did you PO through BBTS too?

Sent from the Cockpit of the Millenium Falcon

Yeppers, lol got it after receiving my Red Sonja fakeout email as a consolation... Then RS converted haha the universe doesn't want me financially solvent

Ya can't see Canada that much higher than US- ours was $68ish... I have a hard time believing the weight is actually 84lbs, my entire collection doesn't weigh that much

the weight inc package is 13kg.roughly 30lbs(statue would be approx. 25lbs..the ist statue was slightly heavier due to a bigger base.that should help in your shipping costs.

Lol dude I'm serious, the only time I've seem that before is when someone creates a new thread Lol. The funny thing was Andy was trying to temp this morning and this afternoon it happened Lol. It looks awesome still. Is there an Ex or anything....

While typing this I stopped to go check it out on the Bkitzway site. PO'd just now through BBTS but if the shipping is really going to be that much then I might cancel the PO. Not worth $350+ for shipping. Its more than 1/2 of the product itself. **** you NAFTA!

I hate you Andy! But :duff

You love me really! ;) :lol I think even you know how very cool this piece is bro and even without my :stick I think you would have PO'd in the end :yess: :) Hope the shipping doesn't work out that high for you but I'm sure there's a better deal to be had somewhere else if you do decide to cancel

I've just messaged james andy, with the same spec as my 1st case, enquiring about shipping(or not) if he cant post,i'll get my father-in-law to built me a simple L shape in wood and mirror the back/sides.

Nice one :clap so your gonna tackle the mirrored diorama yourself or ask James to flat pack it for assembly on arrival?

mm.i haven't decided yet.father in law is very good with woodwork.has all the tools(did some nice routing recently).then maybe stick some acrylic mirrors on back and side(bit like the 1/4 custom dio)lots of time yet though.

To be honest I didn't know about this until youn mentioned it but I probably would've found it soon enough. The good thing is that you told me in time to get the EX claws. At first I told myself that I don't need this especially with money being a little tight, but I think in sorta DO need it. I've been looking for a definitive Bruce Lee statue since I started collecting. Even this thread just randomly popping up in my phone's notification. Its fate man. Thanks Andy :) Now for that shipping Lol

Sounds good to me buddy :) I'm sure they'll be plenty of collectors attempting the same display so I cant wait to see everyone's cool pics :) Yea, plenty of time to be fair...think I'm going to wait for my statue to arrive inhand before I attempt anything. Really need to know the base dimensions and what would look best by using the statue to work around

Yea, me too bro. I thought the GOD statue was going to be the definitive Bruce Lee statue (which I ended up passing on) so this ETD announcement is truly a blessing in disguise as I'd probably only need one Bruce statue in my collection and if I was forced to pick one of the two then I'd always choose the ETD version :)

the base is 14.15'' wide it's an octagonal shape and 5'' high andy. a 3 sided backdrop flush to the rear of the base might look pretty good.the GOD statue has brucey in his most iconic look(my opinion) some say the ETD slashes are,but each to their own I say.

Never bought nor even seen a Blitzway piece in person, but this looks truly outstanding.

For those of you familiar with their products, how true are the finished pieces to what's advertised?

I put an order in at BBTS, figured I would take a leap of faith since it looks so dang awesome!

I own the 1st BL statue..top notch indeed.i belive that the 2 pacino releases from blitzway are also highly thought of.

Cool :hi5: thanks for the dimensions Chris...looks like you want me to start working on this base early! ;) :lol and I like the 3 sided backdrop idea...think it will give off a nice effect when reflecting Bruce's figure :) Yea, I guess the word definitive will mean different things to different people. I'm a Bruce Lee fan at heart but I know some of you guys are like proper die-hard fans so your knowledge of Brucey will be vastly more than mine...I love the GOD pose too but ETD was one of the first Brucey films I think I saw in its entirety. I think it was Steve who said it in an earlier post that just to have these two Blitzway statues would surely be all a Bruce Lee fan would need ;)

strange thing is most of bruce's Chinese fans didn't like ETD.as it made him too westernised and maybe looked a bit of a sidekick to the ''regular'' stars.:dunno
fist of fury seems to be the favourite in the east..no doubt blitzway will end up doing all 5 brucey films.:slap
thought you may have started building yours:wink1: yeah I quite like the sound of a 3 sided backdrop in an 1/2 octagonal type shape..mmm:lol

I only bought the GOD statue because I love that suit, but the shape of the head sculpt looked a bit deformed and the paint job is still meh IMO, not to mention the eyes that look like he is just staring into space .The sculpt on this statue doesn't look deformed at all and also has his iconic fighting expression and the fact that the eyes are painted sideways brings the statue to life IMO. So Andy unless you are a diehard fan of the GOD suit, you don't need that statue IMO.

While I like the GOD suit, I think if it wasn't for Kill Bill, only diehard Bruce Lee fans would know that he even wore that suit. I read comments on you tube on GOD scenes that say hey Bruce Lee is wearing the Kill Bill suit, which makes me laugh.

Sculpt wise yes paint wise they are not as good as EB or Hot Toys. I hope the paint job on this statue will be better since it cost $100 more.

Well I didn't say that exactly, I said I don't think I need to have one from every film but I know I will probably change my mind when the next one comes out.

Bruce wearing the kill bill suit.lol.if my 8yr old daughter sees a yellow car with black stripes or roof its a brucey car.

Blitzway seem to have a higher QC system than any other company
....not to say every single product was perfect - there were a few reports of magnet problems with the GoD statue - but in general it seems to be much higher.

Paint wise I thought the GoD 1/3 sculpt was amazingly done.
Maybe not quite to Hot Toys level on their 1/6 scale figures, but miles (and miles...) above Sideshow's 1/4 PF statues which is really the most direct comparison.
The forearms/hands on the GoD statue were really quite basic however, almost unfinished looking. Wasn't really an inssue on that piece as they weren't really a focus and there wasn't much that they could have done there anyway.

The paint app on this new piece is a whole different world of complexity! Full body, sweat, cuts and blood, but I think they will pull it off.
My order is in.

These two will be the only Lee statues I need.
I would have preferred a dungeon scene with double stick pose but I'm surprised how nice this look is, and I can't get enough of those 'walking feet' .....seriously just looks like the statue is going to walk off and leave :D
This is also my all time favorite Lee shot. Would have lost my mind if this had of been the statue....

Not interested in Fist of Fury or Big Boss at this massive scale and Enterbay's 1/4 Way of the Dragon scratched my itch there :) .....it would have to be something amazingly special for me to pull the trigger on a near $1000 1/3 WotD statue.....

This maybe:

It's almost 'what you see is what you get'.

I don't really know how the paint job could have been any better. Maybe a slightly more 'diffuse' bruise, instead of tiny red dots.

And I love the gloss in the eyes.

Anyway, an excellent product.
