Been trying to figure out how these mirrors are set up :gah: looks like the mirrors are on a curve, you can tell by top... I think maybe they're offset or overlapping? Also looks like those panels aren't attached...

Yea, good spot...looks like they're angled somewhat which inset gives off that classic effect that we saw in the movie. Might be slightly trickier doing this but where there's a will there's a way ;)

if you watch the movie, when bruce pushes the mirrored door,it is flat, and when he kicks han the mirrors are actually in panels.you can see the edges going across the panel.i think the effect is just the camera angle giving the angle effect.
so you would need to score 2 horizontal lines across the panel as well as several vertical ones.
oh that's Shannon bruce's daughter:lol

haha, yeah thats Shannon- pic was labeled Phoebe, guess you gotta be smarter than the internet :slap :lol still too early lol

There are definately a lot of large flat panels in the room as well. I think they probably did a lot of shooting in front of both. The pic above is from the Hong Kong Heritage Museum, pretty sure its a faithful re-creation

I think if anyone is going to do a custom mirrored backdrop for this statue.then panel effect mirrors (about 5 panels vertical) per side and the brown/white panels along the top would be good enough.

wheels in my head are spinning... I think this could be simple- made a quick mock up

brucemirrors.jpg

just overlaying the panels and sliding off the workbench to the right will create a natural curve. Only question is how wide to make the panels... Probably won't mess with it till I get the statue but I may test it out with scrap wood

thickness may also be an issue...

I'd still go flat panels(I think it's just a visual distortion in the movie)when bruce backs into them the whole section looks flat.depending if your doing a simple L shape for the back and one side, total width about 15'' a side, and as my case for the GOD statue is 30''H I'd go for 32''H you could do the brown/white panels with the extra 5 or so inches.

The mirrors in the Enter the Dragon finale are all different depending on the shot used.

Many of them are bent or angled in certain pics or scenes and its for a reason - it was to hide all the camera men filming. They stood in the small gaps between the panels so they didn't show up in reflections all over the other mirrors.

I wouldn't worry about trying to be 100% accurate in look because the look changed from shot to shot depending on camera position and what they wanted to achieve in regard to reflection.

Lol, my excuse is that these statues just followed me home and the money just jumped out of my wallet :lol

Yeah he's 22" -27" with the base... A little taller than 1/4 scale but Bruce always was a little short for a storm trooper

Lol dude I'm serious, the only time I've seem that before is when someone creates a new thread Lol. The funny thing was Andy was trying to temp this morning and this afternoon it happened Lol. It looks awesome still. Is there an Ex or anything....

While typing this I stopped to go check it out on the Bkitzway site. PO'd just now through BBTS but if the shipping is really going to be that much then I might cancel the PO. Not worth $350+ for shipping. Its more than 1/2 of the product itself. **** you NAFTA!

I hate you Andy! But :duff

Canada but that's only a shipping estimate because they don't have the actual dimensions. I hope its a hell of a lot cheaper than that. Like $300 cheaper

Ya can't see Canada that much higher than US- ours was $68ish... I have a hard time believing the weight is actually 84lbs, my entire collection doesn't weigh that much
