Board color change?

A nice use of black, white and grey shades can look very classy but not be overly distracting or in your face, very neutral.

The RPF uses vBulletin and allows you to choose between two different color options. I'm sure Dave has to enable it but the possibility is there. I'd love to get one option where Frankenfan just goes nuts on it and we get that work of art behind the boards. They also allow big 120x120 Avatars too....just saying

couldn't we have like a dark red in horror , a goldish color in lord of the rings. Green in sci-fi and so on but keep the top bar ( with home , usercp etc ) the same color ?.

vB allows for multiple styles - not just 2. But I have the styles selection disabled.

I've discussed changing the look, there are a couple of things I want to do.

Yes change it to a new color. Darklord Dave, Give the board the Silver Screen Edition look, Even if it's just for one day.

I like green, it's relaxing and calming, just like it was in the ward. Therefore, red isn't advisable. It would just make me thirsty as well, and I already drink too much. White is too stark and black is too dark. Brown's a nice earthy colour. Waddya say Bodie? Hmmm, the colour purple. Blue would just send the flippers crazy. Yellow? Nah.

It's perfect now, and we get Frankenfans changing banners and seasonal accoutrement's. It's just embelishment and shouldn't be distracting, or make it hard to read, like white writing on black background. You wouldn't think it'd make that much difference but it can. When you're on a good thing, stick to it.

I'm completely with creecher on this one. The colors are just fine. Mellow and classy. Very easy on the eyes, not too bright or dark, and everything is very easy to read and see.

I think it's the best looking board out there.

I have to agree with the smelly one too. I've always thought the Freaks board was one of the best looking and easiest to read. And I think we're lucky to have FrankenFan's banners.
