I regularly order direct from SSC, they subsidies our shipping costs a bit which is nice, or they have very good rates anyway compared to other companies in the hobby. Customs will fleece you every time. If you order direct, you'll pay the item cost, the shipping cost which will likely be about $45, and then 20% of the total plus about £10 handling fees after the item has shipped. You'll also be charged a currency conversion fee unless you use something like a Halifax credit card that doesn't apply these.
SSC often put out two versions of a particular product, an EX that usually contains a small bonus item or swap out piece and has a smaller edition size, these are only available direct. And then a regular which can be purchased from your own country to avoid import duty etc.
In this case, the EX item is a second blaster which is of little use and looks exactly like the normal version so you could consider picking up the regular from somewhere like here...
