What story of the character? He has no story. The brief bits in Ep. II expand on the character a little bit, but there is still very little known about him.

I really like Fett as well, but he's not one of my favorite characters. As a kid, my favorites were always the Cantina aliens. Greedo, Walrusman, Snaggletooth, Hammerhead, etc. (I refuse to use the EU names like Momaw Nadon- the Kenner toys are the names to me. If it wasn't in the movie or the script, then it doesn't exist as far as I'm concerned. ;) )

Of course there are always the orthodox.

'm looking forward to Greedo. I still remember the Hasbro 12". Gives me the willies. And Hammerhead would make an awesome 12".

Never cared for WalrusMan. Looks like he's got a babies butt stuck in his mouth. Explains why everything he says sounds so muffled.

I mean even the stuff in the EU. I find that interesting and how it completes some characters. It still might all be very little but I like it none the less.

Alright shows over nothing else matters cause it wasn't in the movies. ;) :p

Well said! Got to love Hammerhead! Classic names.

I never liked any EU stuff either.

Gotta agree Fett died like a wuss, and unless they make another film that shows him alive he'll stay dead. Star Wars became popular as a film, the books and other authors versions of the story isn't the same universe as far as I'm conserned.

So Anakin can have an arm and both legs cut off, get burned to a crisp and survive. But Boba can't find a way to get to his jet back in the Sarlac that is supposed to keep you alive for 1000 years?

Boy you guys will be really pissed to find out that the Emperor didn't die on the second Death Star:horror

I'll have to agrre with what other have already stated, it was the mystery that made Boba interesting. Well at least to me as a kid. A man of few words, cool armor (all those design drawings in the ESB sketchbook!), and he had Vader's respect. His throwaway appearance in Jedi was a waste.

I've always thought of him as an intergalactic version of the Clint Eastwood - Man With No Name character from the Spaghetti Westerns.

So....I guess it means nothing to some of you that LFL and in turen, Lucas himself, has to review and sign off on EU Material. Um, OK.

Actually it doesn't mean anything to me. If it didn't happen in the movies it didn't happen at all.

You should give the EU stuff a chance. I've read a little and it was pretty solid. I've got a buddy that his whole love of SW is increased ten fold in the years he's read all the EU stuff.

You have any advice on where to start? I have heard there is some good EU stuff and a lot of crap EU stuff.

I guess it kind of depends on if you have certain characters or not that you like more than others. Most of what I've looked at is the NJO stuff. I'll ask my buddy who knows a lot more about the EU what he recommends to start with.

Start with the Timonthy Zahn novels...they are really good and pick up after ROTJ.

Although, I still do not consider them "real" Star Wars.

For Star Wars reading, I recommend Truce at Bakura (picks up five days after ROTJ), Heir to The Empire Trilogy (introduces Thrawn and Mara Jade, and just damned good reading).

I'll keep saying it: one of the best Star Wars books ever written is the novelization of Episode III. Stands on it's own.

Yeah, those are my favorites as well. I read them in the early 90's when they first came out, but I imagine that there are some continuity problems now that the PT has been released.

The Zahn novels now contain some contiuity problems, especially regarding the specifics of the Clone Wars, and how clones are produced. But that's not his fault! I have only read a few EU novels, but his trilogy is still the best of the bunch in my opinion. I have had a hard time even finishing some of the others.

Wow, thanks for all the response.. maybe I will take a dive into the EU... what the heck. I do remember enjoying the Crimson Empire comic books but I never thought about trying a book.

Read the Jedi Academy Trilogy, it's really cool, talks about building the Jedi Academy on Yavin, and introduces Kyp Durron. Plus, it's very much in the style of the OT movies, just as far as stories go.

You could also read the NJO series, every book in that series is awesome. There's even a cameo of Boba Fett in the last book.
