Yeah, where did everybody go? The head's ready but for some reason people have left the building.

OK, clothing. I'm trying to put together the Auric Stud "riding outfit" that Goldfinger wears during his Operation GrandSlam speech. If no one cares about that outfit, no need to read further.

For those still reading, I've been searching ebay "dolls" section for 'riding pants' to find the right tan jodphurs. Given GF's size, its been tricky as most riding pants are Barbie thin. There may be hope with "Bears" -- larger size. I'm also hunting desperately for that gold checkered vest, but no luck. I have an old Ken vest that might work, but its made for Ken size dolls, not big old Goldfinger so I'll have to split the back.

Obviously, Dragon has lots of jodphurs for GF but most are knee-high. Boots are easy, NewLine. The jacket is fairly easy too, along with shirt and tie. I'll make a pool cue and a gold-laden Delta-9 cannister.

That's my plan. I wouldn't mind making a gold lapel Tuxedo either, but I just haven't found one I like yet. Again, "Ken" is full of tuxedos but we need one with a little girth.

ToyPresidents makes good oversized suits that will work. They are very low on stock at the moment. Hopefully, they'll get more in.



SPECIAL NOTE ON BLOFELD:

For those of you getting the Blofeld sculpt, may I suggest you start combing ebay and get the 12" Dr. Evil doll right away.

Is that the talking Dr.Evil from 1998?

I'd be interested in any outfit as long as it's doable. If Auric is standing on his own then the Grandslam speech outfit or the army disguise would be fine---

I didn't send money yet for the Blofeld as I wanted to get the first one in hand (Goldfinger) and first see what I'm going to be able to do with him. If you come across any specific clothing ideas (like the 12" Dr. Evil--- great idea) please post it and I'll do likewise.

I honestly am not sure which outfit to go with, so many great ones to try and put together. Sure, I might do more than one, but where do you start?

This is the military outfit I used for my Goldfinger back in 2000:

Yes, its Elvis. But the figure came with an entire military outfit, plus shirt and tie, that matched GF perfectly.

The only downside -- Ken Elvis is skinny, Goldfinger is not. I had to split the back to allow for stuffing. However, GF wears a large orange-brown topcoat to hide his military disguise.

I snagged a Gorin from a website here in Canada so I'm looking good for the body--- I agree that the best Goldfinger would be in the tux with the gold. Solutions? Metaphorge I'm in the same boat with you--- got a free oar handy?

My Goring arrived today so now it's just the waiting game on the GF head sculpt... Not sure yet what direction I want to go with for the outfit Wor-Gar but I did check out that Elvis from 1999. I don't like the idea of splitting the back though---

There must be some figures/dolls somewhere that are slightly larger than the SS 12" size and their clothing would be effective---- any other ideas guys? As soon as the HS arrives we're going to want to move forward with some very original customs.

Unfortunately life intervened and I had to take my cat to the vet and that threw off my plans for a bit.
However I just completed the Paypal transaction for a painted Goldfinger and now the breathless waiting begins.

I must mention on Spenser's behalf that a sculpt of Largo is only a possibility at this point. Spenser said he wanted to see how the sales of Goldfinger went first before he decides to continue doing sculpts like this. So far, not everyone who showed interest has come up to bat. Like with all things, sales will determine our future...

So lets go guys! I want LARGO too!

Goldfinger is the only head ready, the other Blofeld and Largo will be around in a week or two.

Some GF head castings have been shipped, but like I said before the painted ones are going to take a bit longer so please be patient.

Thanks for the update. I'm anxiously waiting for the painted Auric Goldfinger head--- I can't wait to see what I can do with the body that I've got waiting. Once he's in hand I'll make a determination about Blofeld (although I've shaken the magic eight ball several times and he keeps saying "all signs point to yes").

Its fantastic. Proper girth and all. Should make an excellent Goldfinger. I got Goring's jodhpurs and boots and shirt as well as the base for his riding outfit. All the pieces look great. He's actually a pretty big body, glad he wasn't too short. Now I just need to find a jacket and vest and I'm set.

Oh, and the sculpt of course...
