Well, I have no problem with the red around the eyes, it isn´t so much red and IMO it makes the face look more real, anyway yoU can always add a little bit of skin tone pigment to cover it, like make up, if you don´t like it

As for the flat tone...no problem at all with it, it looks great IMO.

And you can buy chainmail sleeves for him to wear, I bought a pair last week

love the pics Karen!! And CF if you ever do make those cloaks...let me know. I was going to attempt it but haven't had the time. Really would rather him have that cloak as it is more iconic for the character IMO.

Boromir is probably the best of the bunch (out of the box) so far. Legolas is a close second.

Love the subtle weathering, Karen. I wouldn't go beyond what you've done, as it's looking nice as is.

Dark Artist, nice looking repaint. To be honest, the only thing I would change on my Boromir would be to simply lighten up the hair and beard colors and make them more blonde. I'm fine with the rest.

Excellent work on Boromir! I think he's the one LotR figure that needs the least amount of "upgrading". Some shading in his hair and beard would be good. The chainmail sleeves! Talk about a "doh!" moment!! Never thought of that, and I do believe there's some in my parts bin!

Jesus christ that's a tight Weave on those sleaves. how well do his arms move in that Chainmaille?
