Finding Boromir...........

YES!!! Boromir will be here in a few minutes! And what a crazy story it was to get it!

I've been waiting all day at home for Boromir, expecting him to come early in the morning like all of my Sideshow figures do. But for some reason, he didn't come, and I had to run to my afternoon class, dreading the thought of leaving home without a roomie here to get the door if it was delivered while I was away. Well, I ran home right after class AS THE TRUCK DROVE AWAY WITH MY BOROMIR!!! I frantically called the number and asked them to please send the truck back, but they told me to wait for customer service to call me back.

An hour later, I got a call from a friend of mine, a really nice girl who lives in the next building to mine. She asked about my package, and confused, I asked how she knew about it. Well, I had forgotten that she works for UPS, and after seeing my name on the service line, she PERSONALLY drove out to meet the delivery truck, and will bring my Boromir home with her in the next few minutes!!! I don't know what I did do deserve this kind of a coincidence, but I am so grateful to her--I guess good things really can happen to good people!!! I'll never curse UPS again!

Specal mention has to go to the collar on this outfit. I mean, look at it. And I thought the silver trim on the leather coat was just trim...but at this magnification you can see its actually a pattern. That's crazy detail!

Yeah this girl is the bomb. I still can't believe how lucky I am that she saw my name there, and that she was willing to hunt down that driver; what fantastic luck! Man am I excited! I need to bake this girl a cake or something.

Thanks Josh. I kinda went with the pose you liked, just moved the sword arm over to create a more dynamic pose. I think this pose works well. I must say, positioning the shield correctly given the shape of his hand is a bit tricky.

Thanks Josh. I kinda went with the pose you liked, just moved the sword arm over to create a more dynamic pose. I think this pose works well. I must say, positioning the shield correctly given the shape of his hand is a bit tricky.

NP. Yeah, that one looks nice though. I'm sure if the sheild is too much I may go with the Horn instead. Recreate him using the horn before his death.

I just wish we had 3 or so Lurtz arrows that could attach to him like the T-1000's bullet hits or something similar. Frankly that was my guess for the exclusive besides the obvious cloak. The head was a great surprise being a severed head completist (I think).

No, unfortunately I never did those with LOTR -- I couldn't get the boots off Aragorn so the whole "kitchy kitchen" thing didn't work. Its now left to SW figs only... once we get some figures again.
