The Thor looks like somebody took a cheap can of gold spray paint to it...

The rest look pretty good, but I've never been a big fan of the bronze look with color, and the prices seem high as well.

seems pretty intricate work for a spray can of gold....but some of those graffiti artists are pretty good.

They also seem way over priced even with a limited ES. A move done clearly to cash in. These sculpts are the exact same ones used before. My respect level for Bowen has just dropped. I do hope this move increases the value of the Faux bronze Hulk though.

Kind of. Sideshow has done it a couple of times I suppose but it's even worse in Bowens case. I mean they copied the trend then. Nothing worse than a copycat eh?

Either way, the inflated price, overabundance of Faux bronze product at one time, and the general distaste for the double usage of sculpts has soured me. I will sell my Faux bronze Hulk when the time is right.

I really like them, except for the inflated prices. I don't own any of the original pieces, so I may have to pick a few up from an AD for a cheaper price.

No, what I mean is that the others have a "smooth" bronze look to them, while the Thor has little specks everywhere that remind me of a bad spray-can paint job...

FYI, SS didn't start this campy/gimmicky trend. It's been around a looong while; an easy way for companies to make easy money.

I have to admit, *slight chance* I might get a Captain America bronze.

according to randy, they only reason they bronze statues is to meet their contract with marvel. bowen design is to release a certian amount of pieces per quarter. with the delay in licensing a few months back, they have to bronze a few statues to meet a certain number of statues per quarter. since they weren't sculpting while they were waiting for license approval, randy said this is the most effcient way to make all parties happy.
