Price is high but luckily you get 20% off at Bowen....brings Wolverine down to $240. Worth it IMO. As nice as the pics are, in person they are even better (assuming the come out as nice as Hulk)

I also like how they are releasing 1 per month over this year. It will keep interest going for sure and something to look forward to every month.

I ordered the entire set and will post pics as they arrive.

If the Hulk came out last year, then yes, but Sideshow has been doing Faux Bronze pieces going all the way back to the 90's and Little Big Heads and real Bronze pieces almost from their first year in business!

They're nice, but not for those prices. Bowen took advantage of that.

you should be looking at what they are going to be worth. a $300 statue with club membership knocks off $60. at $240, these things flew off the shelf. whether people want to accept it or not, you'll be seeing these on ebay for around $500. if you read the posts in the beginning of this thread, most were very negative. but they sold out super quick? just goes to show, most don't know *hit about the collectibles future, like it should be. your guess is as good as mine.

Nice ES on these. I got preorders for DD, Spidey, Wolverine, and Cap. Hoping I can keep all of them if finances permit. Like Gruson said, as nice as they look in the pics, they're even sweeter in person. I've got a FB Hulk that I had Randy sign which is a gem.

Something about the spiderman doesn't really look "bronze" at all to me. Too much color in the bronzing?

Maybe because "most" don't collect for the "future" or the dollars, but collect what they like. These are ok, but I've just never been too keen on "colored" bronze; if it is bronze, make it look like bronze, otherwise, what's the point?

These will probably be had for less on ebay honestly. The Hulk is much better looking than these recent releases and it hasn't risen in price considerably. I passed because this is a lame tactic by Bowen to sell the same statues twice. Seems lazy and uninspired no matter the reason behind the action. Plus they pretty much stole this whole FB idea from a painter who did a custom job on the original Hulk for a customer. On top of that, the price seems out of line for these pieces.

I don't see it as a lame tactic. I'd much rather Bowen redo previous statues in faux bronze than come up with a whole new sculpt which will only be available in faux bronze. I like having the option to go full color or bronze.

Also, would you much rather Bowen have lost the marvel license by not meeting the statue quota?

How are you going to say that Bowen only did FBs because of that person's custom? FB is not some new revelation in the statue world...
