according to randy, they only reason they bronze statues is to meet their contract with marvel. bowen design is to release a certian amount of pieces per quarter. with the delay in licensing a few months back, they have to bronze a few statues to meet a certain number of statues per quarter. since they weren't sculpting while they were waiting for license approval, randy said this is the most effcient way to make all parties happy.

Yeah, Doom looks the worst. he just looks kinda yellow and that's it. I do like the Thor, Wolvie and Cap. But I do agree that the SSC ones at least looked bronzed. These kind just look like they have a light dusting of bronze paint on them.

Sideshow didn't charge me $600 for the bronze Eagle & Fell Beast (double the reg price) . .

Other than the price hike . . I don't have a problem with it . . . nothing really jumps out at me though . . Spidey looks like an Oscar . . .

The Thor looks like somebody took a cheap can of gold spray paint to it...

The rest look pretty good, but I've never been a big fan of the bronze look with color, and the prices seem high as well.

Are you sure you don't mean Doom. Thor is one of the best looking there!

Not in the picture posted... it looks like little specks of paint everywhere, almost as if it was covered in dust.

i like them, even though some may not. i had considered bronzing some of my own statues. it may be a cheaper way to go to get the same bronzed look.

I love Bowen but these just do nothing for me. I think it's due to the bronze and colors mixed together. It just doesn't look that good IMO.

I will say that I LOVE the original statues though. I've owned that DOOM statue for years and it's still one of my favorite Marvel pieces even after I received my DOOM PF. Each piece is great in it's own way.

I will say that I LOVE the original statues though.

This is my stance on these too. Much prefer the color versions, the Bronze and color dont look right on display together IMO, and I just don't have to room for separate BD displays.

Like Jory said though, I do understand why Randy is doing 'em. It's a contractural thing over anything else. Probably the same deal with some of the other color variants they're doing (Black Knight, Loki..).

I don't like the way it isn't just bronze but has some color to it, but it is kinda neat at the same time. I thought I might like Captain America but I don't care for his design, too broad. I might consider getting a Spider-Man just for fun cool factor, but it's a bit out of my price range.

These Star Wars pieces appear to be true bronze while the Bowen pieces look like spray on bronze color. I'm not a big fan of the bronze look so I hope the fans enjoy this.

I've got the Bowen FB Hulk that came out last year I think its the best of the bunch.Just curious did SS release the Fell Beast VS Eagle & Duel with Dooku - Yoda VS Count Dooku Faux Bronze statues after the Hulk release?
