Looking good, but there's still something missing about the likeness; can't seem to put my finger on it. Face seems too smooth somehow?

Oh, and some interesting news. I found a guy who makes actual 1/6 kilts. He's shown interest in doing a Braveheart one. His standard kilts are made with an interior snap and two exterior leather straps and metal buckles, for just 15$.

I'll let you guys know if this person is on board for our project :hi5:

Well, I emailed him again yesterday, so I'm hoping he'll get back to me soon. Will let you guys know then.

I'm also waiting on the result of my order with Spoonflower. I sent in the high-res design JIM007 made, to be printed on cotton...

I agree. Straight on the bridge of nose is to thick. Face is a little narrow to. I know it seems petty, but it's just throwing it off.

Yes, I would say: face is too long and narrow, nose bridge too big, face needs more texture (lines, pores, stubble). WIth some changes this sculpt can be awesome :panic:

No bald. I'm sending the sculpt to caster then having another sculptor familiar w neckless hot toys to cut the Neck off.

MORE important i think is to add lines, pores, stubble on the sculpt

i think likeness is pretty good and with a good paint it will be ansolutely gorgeous

bridge is being thinned out, texture being added to the skin and jawline being rounded out...

:clap:clap
:hi5:

By the way, I heard back from the kilt guy; this was his answer:

Hi Koen - I'll be happy to craft that kilt. Thanks for the picture, I appreciate the reference point. I can't print fabric, so I'll have to check the fabric stores this weekend to see if there's a suitable commercial tartan available, if so, I will let you know and provide a picture for your approval. Thanks for the heads up on the Sideshow board, if I can get this going, I will definitely check it out. If you can provide me with a circumference on that waist, I'll be happy to see what I can do.

If he can find some suitable commercial tartan, we'll have two options for the kilt: make one ourself using the exactpattern printed on fabric, or getting a ready-made one, using near-exact fabric... :yess:
