cool....

i just hope the changes dont ruin the likeness we have which i think is very good,,,(imo the best mel likeness so far)

everyone i show the pic to and ask whos this...they say mel gibson instantly

im so surprised theres not more interest...

im taking a hit on this one! lol

i think im gonna cut the free sword list at 6....

It really is killing me that I can't get in on this and the Rick Grimes projects, just committed to a couple other pricey customs atm.

i hear u

i just caved and went in on the rick .....lol im an addict

ive just seen way less accurate sculpts of less iconic characters get more love than this and im super surprised

im not worried about it CF im doing this for the love of the character and the handful of you guys on board with me makes it worth it

im just really surpised because of the reasons i stated above

I think the lack of interest has a bit to do with the fact that you need to drop some serious coin to do this figure properly. Totally worth it of course, just a bit tougher to sell.

i hear you...

in all reality though its not too bad

volds set $120 the head & sword $40-50

perseus or other body

the kilt wont be that much
the tunic is $17
and then we just have to worry about the boots...

in the grand scheme of things not to bad

Actually, people can still have a great Wallace bash without Vold's armor. As long as they get the tunic and the kilt, the bash will look really good. And if they want the arm band, they can always get one of Perseus'. There is really no reason why people would worry about the price. Minus the armor and Perseus body, it comes to around $100-$150.

Well I was definitely factoring the perseus body and armor into the price, and, in my case, a good weathering job from somebody like SilentSurfer or the likes. It is definitely doable for cheaper though!

Oooops, maybe I shouldn't have mentioned anything. :lol

:rotfl

I was actually thinking that if I did jump on this project I would try asking Seb...seeing as this type of fig is right up his alley...hopefully if/when that time comes I might be so lucky

If he can find some suitable commercial tartan, we'll have two options for the kilt: make one ourself using the exactpattern printed on fabric, or getting a ready-made one, using near-exact fabric... :yess:

I have a week off starting this evening, so I'm going to try to print on fabric. If it works, I'll show you the results and explain the method! :D

Ashad, I have sent you Vold's payment to send on by WU, thanks for doing this buddy - much appreciated!

Got an e-mail from the people of Spoonflower telling me that my order (tartan printed on fabric) is ready and was shipped yesterday. So I expect it in about a week or something...
