Walt told her off, but I also think he knew the cops were there listening. His tears were real from absolute heartbreak that "his" family turned against him.

Yeah, you are right. At first, I just thought he went full Heisenberg when in reality Walter made that last phone call for one reason and one reason alone: to clear Skylar of all possible charges. Notice the language he uses- "you were always begging me to stop, telling me its illegal, immoral, someone could get hurt" etc, "I warned you what would happen if you crossed me", "Oh what am I saying, you never had anything to do with it, this was me, it was all me". Of course he presents it in a manner that is made to seem him like a monster but this was a truly selfless act to defend his family. Walt destroying the phone demonstrates he knew police were there.

I also think Skylar picked up on that.

Yeah because like us (the viewer) she as a character is also supposed to know that Walt really did try to save Hank. So what if she believes her husband got her brother-in-law killed. She should have just listened to Walt and packed up her bags. Biyatch indeed .

Are there now people who also believe that Walt Jr. is a jerk for trying to defend his mother? I won't be surprised.

Yeah Walt likely knew about the phone being tapped, he put on that show as Heisenberg so Skyler would seem like the total victim to the cops. Even though he might have meant those things he said, he likely wanted the cops to know he was the one responsible for all things and not his wife.

This episode was insane... so heart breaking.

Hank went out like a total bad ***... and I still think Walt is a good guy, even though everything he has done has turned on him.

Man, I love the little things this show drops on you. I would not catch most of these if it wasn't for other people pointing it out.

Didn't notice the parallel when watching. Both lost someone extremely close to them, and both(?) seek out revenge no matter how long it takes.

I guess it all depends on what is going to happen with Walt and his M60 in the flash forward (well, it's present time now).

Also, that reflection could be an omen.

Yeah thats exactly how I read it too.

I hope the final showdown is at the car wash. I want Walt to say "Have an A1 day" as he's blasting dudes. It'll be his "Say hello to my little friend."
