The whole experiance made him a murderer with no possessions, who was tortured and forced to watch the only two women he loved die as a direct result. I have a really hard time believing he'd ever come back to it, especially considering he sees that as blood money and directly rejects the proceeds. If he wasnt ok with keeping the money before what has changed?

You misinterpreted my thoughts in the first place. It was from Walt's perspective I was looking from. There could have been some part of Walt that liked the thought of his product still being available. The legacy living on. He knows with Jesse the product is just as good as his own.

I foresee Jesse finding and settling down with a nice Inuit girl and living a humble life as a Carpenter in Alaska after the finale.:lecture :lol

No I get that, I disagree.

Walt was spurred to action when he hears in the Charlie Rose interview that someone is still cooking his product. He was about to give up and let himself be arrested until he hears that and about his stake in Gray Matter. Even Pete and Badger thought it was Walt cooking and he didn't like that. I see it as more than knowing Jesse is alive, it's someone else, anyone else taking credit for his work. What I'm saying is once he sees Jesse and realises it is all against his will, and once the nazis are dead, Walt's ok with Jesse being alive because he knows he will never use it(the recipe) again. I just personally feel that otherwise Walt wouldnt have let him leave and that the only legacy he wanted to leave behind was the money aspect. All he had left was his recipe and lab and they died with him. Also have you seen the Vince Gilligan interview on Talking Bad right after the Finale aired?

One look at Jesse and Walt could tell he was done with cooking. It had destroyed him. Jesse was finally set free. Surely he wouldn't make the same mistake again and go back to cooking.

I would like to think that a few years down the line, Jesse would be one of those guys who go from school to school warning children of the dangers of drugs.

Before selling crystal blue to those kids after school behind the bike shed

Gray Matter Technologies was a company co-founded by Walter White with his friend Elliott Schwartz.

Gray Matter became a highly successful company using Walter's research. Walter secretly feels that his work was stolen from him and bitterly blames Elliott and Gretchen for his lot in life.

^^ From the Wiki

By the same token Walter and Jesse started something that grew into a huge success and in the end the credit was again being stolen away from him based on his research.

He gets to settle up for Gray Matter and what he's owed and he gets full credit for his recipe and the stuff that was in circulation when it ends after his death.

Good point. The world would still believe Heisenberg was behind the latest and final batch of blue.

Yea all they know is Heisenberg Blue Color. They don't know exact percentages etc. Once whats out there dries up and they see it coincides with Walt's death on the news he gets full credit as Heisenberg and everything that comes with it which is quite the impressive criminal empire. He wants that soul credit to make up for the credit he never got from Gray Matter.

At the time we thought things like oh he's going to go murder Gretchen to even the score but in retrospect that is what that interview is really all about. He didn't want some future interview mirroring it with an explanation that he came up with a recipe but it was Pinkman and others who cooked it and did all the work.

well isn't it pretty much agreed that walt was going to kill jesse & the whole crew for using his recipe in the first place (well the crew for other reasons) ?............if so i think that negates walt's wanting his blue legacy to live on.

He thought Jesse was already dead and that Todd could only hit numbers in the 70s so yes.

He get's all the credit now along with the satisfaction of taking out the Nazi's (which I'm sure he still enjoyed deep down) and setting Jesse free.

People will remember Heisenberg's Empire.

how old are you ? I'm just asking because if you've been weathered by time like most of us then you might have a friend or know of someone who might have been in a accident killing at least one passenger after having a few drinks , then months or maybe years later you see the same person at a party and driving home after a few drinks. sure there is people that straighten out but I don't think Jesse would be in that camp.

:lol What? That's not exactly the finest example man. I'm 27 and I know alot of people who've ****ed up their lives with drugs or crime, I've had a gun to my head before, but of the several thousand I know through knowing others and close friends and meeting people in schools and jobs etc, none of them have committed drunken manslaughter and are still walking around. :lol

I think a better question would be how many people do you know who've been held hostage and tortured for months? Jesse does not want that money made that way, thats a fact, he throws it away. To cook for Jesse would have no value, the money is worthless to him and the experiance is the same as being tortured.

What comes of it is collateral damage to children and women he loves and zero reward.

I got my story screwed up ... I knew the passengers that survived and thought nothing of driving after drinking . usually people that deep in jesse's kind of lifestyle don't usually learn their lesson . they may be taken aback for awhile but end up F ing up eventually cause they are loser F ups

But again how many people do you know that have been held hostage and tortured. I have to imagine that being held like that for months day after day thinking you will die, seeing loved ones murdered in front of you, will change anyone just as much as any addictive drug would. Jesse already wanted out of that life, he was working with Hank to go straight. Now add this experiance on top of all that.

Now I can imagine Jesse using again one day sure if things never go his way. Cooking? Distributing? Absolutely **** no. Even Vince when asked during Talking Bad where Jesse is driving said as far away from there and that lifestyle as he can get.

Saul was crooked. Does everyone also think he just can't wait to get back out there and start getting to know hired assassins and crime lords again anytime soon?

I have 4 friends that were held hostage by Meth a dealer in Newburgh NY and sodomized with rubber sex toys and such . 2 weeks after they were released they moved to Middletown NY and was right back at cooking Meth . so you see I know what I'm talking about.

And yet you lead with the drunk driver story. :lol I have my doubts but if true you certainly keep some stupid company. I on the other hand would still give Jesse more credit than your friends and say I still don't see him ever cooking or doing anything more than casual use based on what we are able to learn of his character.

Besides that however I can just as easily give you examples of people I know that sold drugs and are now college grads with fulltime jobs and/or families including myself. I'm not saying that happens to everyone but I'm saying Jesse is one who's learned his lesson and I see as more intelligent and capable. Badger, Skinny Pete, I see as the dumber/will never learn type.
