Besides that however I can just as easily give you examples of people I know that sold drugs and are now college grads with fulltime jobs and/or families including myself.

I'm in that camp as well .

as far as Jesse goes , we will never know

Yes, it is personal preferance that basically comes down to how much credit you give his character.

He was a dumb user, Walt taught him which made him a cocky abuser, and he saw first hand the toll that life takes on the cartel, Mike, Gus, Jane. That did change him. It's a fact, he wouldn't take the drug money anymore when this season began. He tryed to get out anyway he could including Hank. He wanted out and got sucked back in for more. Like having so much cake you're about to throw up and than being force fed a dozen more. I believe based on what I saw though that Jesse does learn and is smart enough to make it another way(woodworking?) and find happiness in other things (women, family, racing).

I hear Jessie has a new Master to learn from...

Jesse opened a handmade Children's Coffins store in a mall next to Saul's Cinnabuns and Mike's Belize Travel Tours.

I thought the finale was pretty straight forward: Walt was trying to make amends for "wrongs" that he either committed or was indirectly responsible for. Which is common for people who are about to check out.

He wanted to make sure his family would be taken care of financially, specifically with the drug money HE earned.

Added Bonus: Using Gretchen and Elliot to do it i.e. the two people who publicly denounced their association with Walt.

Added Bonus #2: Making Gretchen and Elliot's life a living hell (for fear of being killed by hitmen) until Walt Jrs 18th birthday when they're supposed to give him Walt's drug money disguised as a donation.

He wanted to be 100% honest with his wife and let her know why he did what he did. He wanted her to know the truth so she wouldn't blame herself, which is what she had been doing up to that point. That's why her demeanor changes when Walt comes clean.

He wanted to see his kids one last time.

He wanted to kill Jack and his whole crew initially just for killing Hank and stealing all his money. But that compounded when he found out they threatened his wife and family AND they were holding Jesse hostage.

And finally.. he wanted to save Jesse. The person who saved him in the first episode of the series. Jesse gave Walt a life and a purpose. He also gave Walt the opportunity to be remembered as being great at something (even though it was in the drug business) and the "fame" Walt never received for his other accomplishments in life. And most importantly, Jesse gave Walt the means to provide for his family, which is something he struggled to do legally up to that point. So regardless of everything that happened between them over the course of 2 years, Walt remembered that.

That whole episode was an act of contrition for Walt.

I don't believe he wanted to save Jesse until he saw him. He's surprised when Badger and Pete hint that Jesse may still be alive and up to that point, he has no reason to think Jack hasn't already killed him and the reason the product is up is because Todd got tips from Jesse before that happened. Remember that was supposed to be Walter helping Todd get the purity up in exchange for Jesse's outright death.

Everything else is dead on though.

yeah I think Walt wanted Jesse dead up till the point when he saw what they had done to him in captivity, then he knew he had to save him cause as the whole episode had shown, Walt was trying to make amends for all the horror he had created for everyone, and in the end that also included Jesse.

Everyone that had anything to do with the Meth business was now gone or dead, so he was successful.

I can't wait to see the adventures of Walter Blanco, and Jose. And i'm not ****ting you, those are their names. :lol

Re: No love for Breaking Bad?

This is beyond ridiculous. Absolutely no point in remaking such a recent show. Are Spanish subtitles not good enough?

Could you make the same argument about Finchers girl with the dragon tattoo? I think the English version is better. Although I doubt the Spanish version of brba will be any good

Spanish novelas get remade even between Spanish speaking countries.

Colombian Novelas are some of the best shows for Spanish audiences, and Mexico keeps remaking them for Mexican audiences. Many many times they will remake shows coming from Colombia or Peru in Mexico,
Usually those remakes are bad. (I Could give you some examples but i dont think it matters)

Actually Ugly Betty is a Second remake from a colombian novela show for american audiences, the show got remade in Mexico and in america...

But remaking Breaking Bad is actually kind of cool because I don't recall A spanish remake of an american show.
The only one i can think of is Desperate Housewives which was remade in spanish. Im sure they were other remakes but I can't think of any...

Seeing how This Breaking Bad remake will be Colombian, it might actually not be that bad.

And after Metastasis is a big hit with Hispanic audiences,

You can expect a Mexican remake of the Colombian Remake of Breaking bad :lol:lol:lol:lol:lol
