Man I would kill for a 1/6 Walt and Jesse. I wish SS would get it cos no way would HT or EB do it.

You mean like these?

Do you really think that in all my time in 1/6 I didn't even get a whiff of Trevor's landmark Cranston sculpt? No matter how good it is, I don't buy customs. They don't feel right to me.

I just want SS to do an official one with a newer sculpt. From the side, the sculpt looks condensed.

What if they've been both acknowledged and approved by Gilligan, Cranston, and the like? Gilligan actually has a few, I believe, and those customs are pretty much the reason there are any official products out there at all (do you think it's a coincidence that Trev is doing the Mezco stuff?).

I'm just saying; there's literally no reason these shouldn't feel right to people. It's not like they were hiding it or anything. Gilligan and co. gave their blessing, etc., etc.

If thats the case then a reputable company should pick up the license for 1:6 AND 1:4 scale figures! :lecture

...and NOT Mezco "mini" figures...meh.

Perhaps they should, but that's the fault of the "reputable" companies for not pursuing the license. It's not like there aren't options, and, as I said, mostly legitimate ones, already. Hell, part of me thinks that's why the license hasn't been picked up by one of these companies; they don't think that they could compete with what's already out there.:lol

Re: No love for Breaking Bad?

Spiros it's no use.

I suppose not. Different strokes for different folks, and all. It does make me laugh when I think about it, though; it's almost like I'm talking to myself, as I used to refuse to buy anything that didn't have a Hot Toys logo in it. That being said, experience has taught me that it's about the figure on the shelf, not the name on the box.:lecture

OMG! Not everyone can throw out $500, $600, $1k for "customs".
Granted, some are less because you have to piece them together and go with subpar sculpts because some of us don't have money to burn, but ****, if some company snatched the BrBa license up that could actually sculpt AND paint...They would make a fortune.

Ahhhh...What a perfect world that would be. :lol

Oh, don't get me wrong, I don't have that kind of cash, either. My first custom was the same figure that you see in Wake's sig/avatar, and I had to sell a couple of figures from my collection to help with that, so, I can understand the price thing, I was mainly focused on the other aspect that people who don't like customs tend to focus on. With that being said, it's a game that isn't that different from the one that we are all currently in.

They're a bit more expensive, that's a given, but I find it to be about weighing your options, more than anything. With any luck, though, you might want to check out the interest threads. The folks who made the figure that I referred to are probably the most reasonably priced in the business, and they have a Pinkman on the way, so you may be able to get a good quality, reasonably priced Walt in the future, of the license doesn't get picked up.

I refuse to buy customs because paying 500 bucks for an action figure is ****ing ludicrous.

...and paying $200 isn't? Let's be honest here, this whole hobby is pretty ****ing ludicrous. I just see it as making sacrifices. If there's a figure that I "love," and that I know won't be available elsewhere, I'll sacrifice a couple that I "like" for it and budget accordingly. I don't know why there's this "class warfare" mentality when it comes to licensed figures vs. customs. The difference isn't that great.:lol

I totally understand and I am on the Pinkman list. It would just be awesome to get an entire set of BrBa high quality figures. In my case I can't afford hi end customs but I'm not bashing them. Most are really beautiful and others are meh, imo.
Just like TWD figures. Some are really awesome, and I do have Daryl, Rick and Merle sculpts for customs I still hope to put together someday but since threezero has the license...I'm gonna buy those, too.
I just think if Gilligan, Craston and Paul and whoever else gave their blessing than thats a golden opportunity and somebody should do a line for the rest of us. ;)
