but what if Sideshow did it?

Yeah, in the 'Ask Sideshow' thread I posted that I didn't think SS was the best option for high end BB figures, but now I'm thinking that if anyone would do it then they'd be the most likely. Of course I'd like to see it happen, I just think that this board can give a distorted sense of the number of people who will dig $200 out of their pockets for a Walter White doll.

I'd love a WW figure. I can't afford to throw the kind of money at the WW customs that are on this board. They do look amazing, but I just can't do it. I would love a Heisenberg and a Chem suit version.

I will just sit idly by and cross my fingers hoping for a release.

Easily? Based on what? Setting aside their aversion to TV licenses, Hot Toys have shown time and time again that they are only interested in procuring licenses based on shows and characters that resonate with the Asian market. Breaking Bad doesn't. The Sopranos doesn't. Game of Thrones doesn't. In fact of all the top-tier TV shows to come out of the US, hardly any of them have been given a nod by high end 1/6 manufacturers.

I wasn't saying it had to be Hot Toys (even though I used them as an example), it could be any company. Just trying to have fun that's all.

What basis do you have to say that a Walter White toy wouldn't sell? None, just like me, so just relax a little :hi5:

I've explained my reasoning and I'm perfectly relaxed :wave

I drew this for something else...but i'll post it here because it's so silly looking. I drew it in 3 minutes. :lol

Comparing Breaking Bad and Walking Dead is like Comparing Mozart to Metallica.... Obviously one of them is better, but that doesn't make the other one less enjoyable.
And you can enjoy both of them at different times or different situations. You would enjoy classical music sitting down and reflecting on life, you would enjoy metal in a party with friends dancing around and drinking.

that's what Breaking Bad and Walking Dead are like.....

Breaking Bad is a five star restaurant.

Walking Dead is Chili's. OK. But overrated by the masses that consume it.

Chili's can be pretty delicious and affordable.
You would probably eat at chili's way more times than you would go to a five star restaurant. Some people don't go to those in years, You go to those restaurants if it is a special occasion or something

so in this example, Chili's is enjoyed by many people and they make pretty good food... same thing.

They make generic OK food. You can eat it every once in a while, but it's not special in any way.

Although, TWD is more like Applebees. Chillies does have those little southwest eggroles. Mmmm.

For all this comparison, The Walking Dead still keeps me coming back in anxious anticipation wek after week. I tried to start watching Boardwalk Empire last year - and it had all the necessary elements of a great show - great writing - great performances - great production value....but I did not find it compelling.

For all its flaws The Walking Dead is still incredibly engaging, it has that magic spark that most shows fail to find to keep their longeivty. I don't think it's only the fact that it was based on a comic book -because Breaking Bad was the exact same way - each episode was a MUST watch.

Having said all this, Breaking Bad still might be the best show of all time next to The Wire, but The Walking Dead has always been awesome for me (yes...even Season 2 contrary to what others say).

Also, that Honest Trailers was hilarious.

I like The Walking Dead; I really do, but it's far too formulaic to be truly compelling, IMO. It seems like the general trend is:
Step 1: Meet new people.
Step 2: Argue about leadership
Step 3: Token Zombie Killing
Step 4: Kill off characters, both new and old.
Step 5: Have Rick question his ability to lead.
Step 6: Refer to Steps 1-5.

It really is a soap opera in zombie world.

Ok breaking bad is sex and walking dead is porn. One just jerks you around while being enjoyable but you somtimes question why do I do this, and the other always has a good pay off. Always!!!

Re: No love for Breaking Bad?

So Breaking Bad is the best show ever already!? Its near the top but give it a few years after the hype settles, then we'll see where it stands. I don't think it'll be No. 1

What has hype got to do with a show that has had its run? Its production values, script, performances, cinematography etc are there for all to judge.
