No ending that I could imagine would satisfy me. I want to be surprised by the ending. But it should feel inevitable. Therefore since I can imagine walt dying at teh hands of Jesse it fails for me. Ditto for skylar or hank.

either Walt gets killed or he doesn't and dies from cancer. One of the two is going to end up happening.

the thing is I rather have him fall from someone we know from every season like Jesse or Skyler than have the writers have Todd kill him, or Lydia for example, have someone new like that take out Walt would kinda suck.
I mean either Walt dies by someone close to him or he doesn't. but then I dont know how the show can end, Walt wins?

Walt kills himself? scacrifices himself to save family/jesse? Disappears?

I get what you're saying, but I think an inevitable surprise ending is a bit of an oxymoron. The writers are amazing, but I'm not sure even they could pull that off. :lol

I agree with this. I think he needs to die at the hand of someone we have become emotionally invested in, and has a close relationship with him. Jesse would be the most poignant for me.

I can't see a suicide, but the redemption angle...I could see that happening. Although a main focus of the show was to play with the idea of an unconventional (villainous) character arc, so I'm not sure if they would scrap that in the end. Wouldn't be my pick of endings.

They have too! It's reversals of expectation that make good writing.

I'd like to see Walt do something noble. A sliver of redemption that points back to the fact that he was once a good guy. With so many twists and turns and cliffhangers I can't see the show ending in a whimper... though that in itself would be entirely unexpected.

I totally agree, which works when you have episodes/seasons to work with, but when you're down to the ending...I feel like they're left with much fewer options.

Agreed... BUT i think so long as they do the inevitable in an surprising way it will work

That we can definitely bank on, I would think. The players are inevitable/expected, but the stage will be mind-blowing.

My girlfriend is officially caught up to the end of season four. She just saw 'Face-off' She loves the show. Gonna start rewatching season 5 now.

If I could only get her interested in Mad Men. She's never watched an episode. I keep telling her "give it a chance!"

Mad Men is a tough sell for sure, unfortunately. :lol

I don't get it... She watched 'Revenge' for the love of god! That show is SOOO bad. The music and the acting... dont even get me started on the writing. Even the casting sucks

I'm excited and a little sad that the last half of the season is approaching rather quickly.

Me too. I still remember sitting down to watch the first show, thinking, "meh, a show about a meth dealer... Nothing else on I guess I'll give it a go"...The opening scene, wow. I don't think I've ever been drawn into a show so immediately.

I started on Netflix, it took me a couple episodes to get hooked. But this, SOA and Walking Dead are pure entertainment at it's finest.

The show's gotta end with Walt losing his family. He started out doing this whole thing for the family but the moral of the story is going to be even the best of intentions are wrong if you're doing the wrong things. Its a slippery slope. Walt's gone from anti-hero to just villain now. Ironically, its Jesse who's starting to straighten out. Walt will crash and burn and Jesse will redeem himself.

And BTW, Mad Men sucks. I watched like 3 or 4 episodes and just couldn't get in to it. No real plot or point to the show. It was like Seinfeld without being entertaining - a show about nothing :lol

You shouldve given it more time. "The Wheel" is probably my favorite television episode of all time. And "The Suitcase" and "Shut up and Sit Down" are pretty amazing too. Just the fact that off the top of my head I can tell you specific show titles gives you all the information you need to know about just how memorable the show is.

I dunno... a very good friend of mine, who likes all the same stuff I do, swears it's a slow burner but worth persevering with. It's on my 'once I'm done with everything else' list.
