Invictus Sol
No Life in the Void
Just read some of the coverage on Breaking Bad's SDCC panel and have to say, a bit shocked with how season 5b's premiere starts. I'll put the relevant paragraph in a spoiler tag for those that don't want to read it:
Was totally not expecting...
Can't wait to see how this season will resolve everything.
It shows a flash forward of a bearded Walter White going up to his house which is now fenced-off, boarded-up and abandoned. Walt takes a crowbar and squeezes in between the fence, and opens the front door. He slowly walks through the house, seeing some teenagers using his empty pool, and looking at the empty rooms, until he finds the outlet where he hid the extra ricin pill in the last season. He unfastens the casing and takes the pill with him. He walks out of the house and to the car where his old neighbor sees him and freezes in fear while holding a bag of groceries. White ominously says “Hello Carol.” She drops her groceries in shock, and the video ends.
Was totally not expecting...
Walt to lose control of his house. Aside from when the cousins walked in and were waiting for Walt to come out of the shower in season 3, Walt's been able to keep everything else out (Tuco and Victor had to wait for him to leave the house before grabbing him). Another article mentions that the word "Heisenberg" is written in spray paint on the living room wall. Sounds like the place just gets home invaded and reminds me of Skyler's warning to Walt that the kids "cannot be here" should anyone come calling. The other article also mentions that the trunk of his car is filled with weapons, so guessing this scene happens directly after the opener for season 5a.
Can't wait to see how this season will resolve everything.
