Can't wait for the show to re-start, too. Generally I'm not a big fan of the after-show analysis (find Talking Dead unwatchable) but I'll try Talking Bad once or twice to see if it offers any insight.

Most likely the insight will consist of some guy responding to every little plot point with "OH MY GOD, CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT HAPPENED!!?", a few tv celebrities offering some (at best) mildly interesting opionions, and a whole lot of filler.

I used to watch it when it started. Now I can catch up!!

How did a high school chemistry teacher become Public Enemy Number 1? If you haven't been keeping up with the series The Hollywood Reporter calls "one of the greatest dramas in TV history," you might not have the faintest clue. Fortunately, AMC is encoring all five seasons of Breaking Bad with multiple episodes airing late night every Friday starting this Fri., June 21 at Midnight/11c. Stay up late or set your DVR to watch Seasons 1, 2, 3, 4 and the first half of 5. Witness Walter White's dramatic transformation and get ready for the final 8 episodes premiering Sun., Aug. 11 at 9/8c on AMC.

I think it's safe to say that Walter White won't survive this tale.

It strikes me that AMC is afraid of this show. The same way they used to be afraid of The Walking Dead when Season 1 dropped.

They only used to air TWD late night, until it and the violence became widely acceptable at which point they began running marathons all day for people to catch up.

But I have never ever seen them air a single episode of Breaking Bad either outside of the premiering late night timeslot or in a 3-4 am rerun. TWD, The Killing, Mad Men, all get aired during the daytime or morning hours on Sundays so you can catch last weeks. Not BB. Funny how watching heads caved in by pick axes and shovels is totally fine but cooking meth is unacceptable.

They have. For a while they were playing old episodes at 11pm everyday.
Unfortunately for me I usually had to go to sleep for work so I couldn't catch all of them (I remember them showing 2 or 3 episodes in a row).

I coulda told you that. These stories never end well.

Well he does have terminal lung cancer. Its kinda a given Walt's clock is ticking. Whether or not he dies prematurely or from the cancer is what is yet to seen. I think the real question is whether Jesse will make it out alive or not at this point. Should be an intense season (I don't care what they say, when you take a year off, its a new season, not a continuation).

I never watch the after shows
Yeah, my expectation too is it'll just be breathless pandering but I'll give it one shot, just to see if they up their game for this great show.

How they'll handle Jesse will be really interesting. Everyone's pulling for him to make it out alive, of course, but I like that I can see the writers going either way and whatever they choose, I don't think it'll feel forced. So much to look forward to with these last 8 shows in regards to Jesse, Hank/Walt and what Walt plans to do with that .50 calibre machine gun. Wish those marketing *******s hadn't connived to delay the premiere all the way to August, though. :monkey2

I don't think they will go back to the cancer at all, it was last season or 2 seasons ago when they said the cancer was gone. I think it would destroy his character progression if they bring up the cancer again / have the cancer kill him off. In the beginning he was doing it because he had cancer, now he doesn't have it and it he is still making meth so he has completely turned.

*******. Finally all caught up. It's been one helluva ride. Wish I stuck with the show during it's original run.

:(
