Maul looks great. The stand the probes are on looks like a regular sideshow base though. This can't be it for $30 bucks can it?

I'm starting to think I'll be displaying in his robe fighting Qui-Gon in his poncho on the desert base with probes near by. I just can't wait to see more pics of this guy and to order him!

I'm with you on that one. I was never a fan of Maul's robes. Way too bulky!! The outfit beneath though is fantastic, and I'm sure Sideshow will do it justice.

Its gonna be a tough choice -- robe or no robe. I want to pose him like the Final Duel, but who knows?

BTW, with the new accessory packs containing "machines", I'll bet when VADER finally comes around we'll get an INTERROGATION DROID.

I love his robes, very dynamic, perfect for confusing and distracting an opponent the way they move. I totally agree the outfit beneath is awesome too. I think sideshow will definately do justic with the costume, the previous star wars 12" lines costuming has been great.

I think Maul is one of their best figures yet--the only qualm I have is that his robe is too long--unlike the jedi robes, his is cut above the ankles. It's actually a fantastic design; Maul is the only Sith who really shows off the Sith style. Sidious just throws on a robe, Tyranus dresses like a nobleman, and Vader's a walking toaster with a cape. I love Maul's robes!!!

If it comes too long, I'll just trim it--luckily my friends a stage costumer, I get amazing tayloring done when I need it. I'm way excited for Thursday!!!

Good call! When the hangar doors open and you see Maul standing there the robes are totally above his ankles. Hope that's how they do it for the final release.

As for displaying with robes or no robes, I'll start with him and Qui-Gon with robes and poncho on, then when TPM Obi-Wan rolls around display them all without their outer robes. Sweet options!
