Exciting!!!! I wonder if the number on the box corresponds to the actual order number, or, to put it in an other way, will the box numbers be handed out in sequence to how the orders were placed!?

Ok. Lots of news. Perseus is a go. Early 2009. Buck WILL be sent in a laser etched wooden box with a slide off lid. Each box will be individually numbered. There will be 1000 of this version made. Do not preorder from a site other than gohero.com as no other company is authorized to sell it at this point and orders made elsewhere may not get filled. He is filling orders to his website first. Also coming early next year will be a 1/6 scale Flash Gordon rocketship. He'll be ably to sit in it. It will have a partial interior but not a fully finished one. Sinbad will also be early 2009. Steve tells me he answers his email daily. If you haven't gotten a reply the mail somehow got filtered out. Hope this helps you guys.

As much as I want this I'm going to pass. I think I'll either go for the Perseus or Sinbad though. The prospects of the unusual figures like the skeletons and Cyclops intrigue me more than the rocket.

Just found this thread. Jumped in and ordered the Buck Rogers figure. I can remember having the Daisey "Atomic Disintegrator Ray Gun". It came in two colors. Both gold and silver tone. Pull the trigger and sparks appeared in the red window on top of the gun and it made a popping sound. This figure brings back lots of fond memories, and makes it a must have.

I pre-ordered one tonight. I'm not into the "retro" figures but this Buck Rogers figure has the potential to be the closest I will ever get to a custom figure. The $175.00 price tag seems a little high and it will be the most expensive 1/6th figure I've ever purchased, but when compared to a new Hot Toys military figure ($120+) or the Medicom Clone Trooper ($135.00), or a Predator figure ($160) it doesn't seem that high for what you get.

I don't think I will ever use the MP3 function and would have liked the option of ordering this figure on a regular body. Overall, I think this figure will be great. I'll probably also order the Flash Gordon figure because I loved watching the show on PBS as a kid in the late 1970's.

Can someone let me know what the special pre-order gift is? I'm dying to know.

If Buck does well I think we'll see a lot from them... you don't typically develop a new body unless you're planning on being around for the long haul.

I wish they started with the Flash Gordon/Buster Crabbe instead. I would of pre-ordered in a heart beat!! Still, Buck Rogers is a nice figure.
