The subject matter of the figure doesn't really grab me, but I find the idea of a figure body where you can load audio and play it back with a remote VERY appealing. Would be great for custome figs.

I see it the same way, and since the figure will be shipped straight from HK to our homes, I'm not even sure if ordering through SSC would have (financial) advantages for me. Tax, shipping costs... I'll sit this one out, and see what happens. Oh, and the SSC rewards point... yes, it's still a nice extra, but with 12" figures being in the $90 range, you have to buy for $1800 to be able to get one for free. And then you're still stuck with taxes and shipping costs which are not negligible for Europeans - unless you can combine orders.

Its definitely a fair price for a body and technology... but for me I just can't imagine many figures I'd need to have an MP3player inbedded in their body So when I can get a comparable (in terms of poseabilty) for 1/2 the price I see it as pricey to me.

Very true, also just looked over the Sideshow pics and its got me even more excited for this figure! I think he's gonna be a real standout in my collection!

I don't know what Steve's plans are with this line, but I so would like to have a female counterpart to Buck Rogers. Wilma Deering, in space suit or in a typical 1930 or 1950 female casual outfit, that would be nice.

I have to admit I think it looks like an absolutely amazing figure, I love that whole retro sci-fi, steampunk thing (have you guys played Riven, Myst etc?) the devil is in the detail for me, little metal accessories, wooden box that kind of thing.
Gonna try and get one, but there is sooo much stuff coming right now and with the new Enterbay BL due along with BR Joker, Batpod etc I'll just wait and see.

Really interested to see where they go with the Harryhausen licence, I'd love to see some of the creatures, Minotaur, Medusa, skeleton warrior, Kali etc, etc.
Can't wait!

Idem ditto. But I cancelled a few things that I really don't need, in order to concentrate on the real good stuff. (And probably going to cancel a few things more!)
The detail and the retro-SciFi really appeal to me. I really hope we get more of that, I really want a female from that SciFi chapter!
