I thought the freeby was going to be disclosed within days about three weeks ago. Looks like the delays have hit on the freeby already. No telling when we'll know.

I guess if we find out what the gift is before it's ready to ship, people will back out and order from Mista. That's a heavy discount he's got going on there.

From what Steve told me at Gohero, etailors will only get what is left after his orders are filled. He led me to believe no presale from anyone other than him can be guaranteed because they may not get as many as they order.

It's a great space suit, I pre-ordered mine........I'm a sucker for any figure with a nice space suit and helmet; Now, I just wish someone would make a 2001 space suit(besides the Twinch Squad version)

Thanks. That's very good to know. I am forced to keep my order, and anticipation.

I hope Mista doesn't stain his reputation by over ordering. That'd be a bummer.

Just got an e-mail fron Steve Forde at Go Hero. He said that other dealers that ofer the figure at a discounted price will not be recieving the figures. He said it would be to costly for Go Hero and hamper their efforts on future figures. I cancelled my order from BBTS and ordered from Go Hero.

I had a nice conversation with Steve from GO Hero and we will be filling our preorders but we will not be discounting the figure like we normally do...he has some great products coming down the pipeline and I am sure you guys will be pleased with everything that they have to offer

Just got an e-mail from Steve Forde. The gift is the remote that will activate the sound chip from up to 25ft away. These remotes will only be given to the customers that buy the figure from Go Hero. I for one will keep my order active with Go Hero. They are a small outfit that has a great line of figures in mind for the future. One thing that this hobby can't do without is quality and variety. Go Hero is doing figures that no one is touching. Do we want just giant companies making 3 or 4 DK Batmans or some company making figures like Buck Rogers, Flash Gordon and Persus not to mention what they might do in the future. I think it's worth the few extra bucks to keep an outfit like Go Hero alive and well.

Absolutely! I'm happy to have such a low order number on their first ever 12" figure! I wonder if the number will be engraved on the wooden box...

Oh, and, if HT won't be doing a Robert Mitchum from "Night of the Hunter" in their ICON series, I hope GoHero will. How freaky would it be to have him sing "Leaning"...

Or telling the story of 'right hand/left hand', 'good and evil'...

CLASSIC!

Well, I pulled the trigger. It's a unique subject and I really want to feel like I'm supporting people trying to produce a different type of product in what certainly looks to be a very high quality limited edition.
As neat as this is I really would have rather had a Buster Crabbe "Buck Rogers". The comic strip version is great, but I loved the style of the old serial, the ships, the uniforms, especially the bad guys and Buck was in one of those half the time it seems like. But I hope to get a Flash when the time comes so that will do.

Found this on the Go Hero website:
We are proud to announce that along with our designer toy distributors DKE Toys (one of the fastest growing designer toy distributors carrying amazing pieces form top artists and companies), Sideshow Collectibles (one of the top names in character driven collectibles in the world) will be distributors for both the Buck Rogers Figure and Pistol! We are very excited to be able to work with these companies to get our products out into the market

Its not good for individual unit profit, but I'd say probably good for bottom line based on quantity. If bad for the bottom line I doubt he'd do it.

It all depends if Steve wants to expose his business with volume, he may take a smaller profit margin to allow him to work on other projects.

This way he gets the Sideshow marketing - worth its weight in gold.

As long as he keeps the Free Gifts (and first shipments) to those who order directly through him I'll just continue ordering through Steve.
