Looks good. Hoping Ill get my folder with issue3 and hope the problems across the pond dont happen to us here in the states.
Wow! I like that and was hoping for that option. So, if I order after 12 months worth of kits have been available in the US, I will ask if I can pay for all those 12 in one payment (I'll have this massive shipment in one package maybe?). Then I'll subscribe for the remaining 12 or 13, whatever more that's left.I got a chance to see this at Celebration... it looked really good. The size is great and the detail are very crisp. The kit as is looks very clean and probably not worth the price of admission, but if you weather it up following the tutorials they say will be posted I think it will be an excellent addition to the collection.
Someone asked the guy at the booth about any chance of the company not finishing the set; and the rep stated that DiAgostini has been around for 120 years and is a 6 billion dollar company, so in a nutshell our investment is safe
Also, since I'm a bit behind on the subscription I asked if I could buy more at once to get caught up and he said that was possible, I'd just need to place the order by phone and they could send out as many of the available kits as I wanted.
According to the rep the problem was actually with samples, not the actual kits that shipped to customers. I wasn't exactly clear on what that meant, but sounded like maybe some people had samples that were problematic, but anyone who ordered direct from them did not have that issue.
Damn! That's great news. Hope it's true. That's what it sounded like... and according to someone else I talked to (another collector, so take it with a grain of salt) he'd been told that somewhere around the 1 year point it might be possible to order the whole kit in one shot.
And look at the kits available on Model Space many of them have that option, either monthly or all at once.
I did ask the rep if they planned on more SW kits, he said that so far the Falcon had been very successful and that other vehicles were possible, but that nothing was finalized or agreed upon.

I talked to the guy at the booth for a bit yesterday. The one in all the pics has been painted but there will tips and tricks info on how to paint your own. I also asked about the cost of the kits changing. They said they won't change the price part way though the subscription.
I am still on the fence. I don't think even the painted up one looks as good as the MR one. I was able to see both yesterday so it was easy to compare. I think the EFX one looks better but will it ever actually come out and how much will it cost and it's not as big.

I'd love an AT-AT to join my MR version.
So, I just got back from one of the hobby stores I go to here - where I just scored one of the new Bandai X-wings - and in the absence of Floquil Grime, which seems stupid-hard, if not impossible, to get now, I just might have found the perfect substitute.
There's a new color in Testor's 'Railway' Model Masters line called 'Aged White Flat' that's pretty damn close to the color of the parts we're getting direct from DeAgo. I'm thinking cut it with a little 'Reefer White' and it should be just about bang-on as a base. It's definitely the road I'll be testing out.
