Yeah and Space Jockey did a very nice job painting those heads for me, cant wait as well on those BDU's.
am even more excited over the shoulder lamp that Hurricane is working on, Probably becouse its taking a little long, but the prothotype should be ready any moment now.
Yeah, its realy amazing how those new super accurate BDU's from MAA look.
And love your armor as well, looks like the real dark knight is coming to wreck our 1/6 scale worlds, (EVIL LAUGH) whohahahah

Thanks Aenima_dead, made it myself from a piece of fake leather from a old technics headphone bag and a piece off card.
Cut out a few pieces for behind the leg armor as well.

If you look in the sales part you might be lucky and find some people could be selling Aliens stuff, but other than that ebay seems to be the only other place.
A guy on the board is making 1/6 colonial marine clothing but from what he told me all the spaces were filled.

You are talking about Men at arms right?
He told me that he has a few off the first load he did for Chris, not as accurate as the new one's but better then the original HT BDU's

i just send my drake's head to small_studios realy like this guys work.
And Vasquez her head should be heading to FML.
I would say to be sure of a good job choose one off the big names, but dont forget the upcumming talent.

D-CHAOS: He's actually the old Screamin' 1:4 vinyl kit. I added some real wires & hooks and painted him up myself many years ago.

The Shoulder Lamp by Hurricane...ooooohhhh, so jealous bro!! That's going to be awesome, awesome!! I had wanted to get one of his modded Shoulder Lamp and the Motion Tracker, but at the time, just couldn't swing it. Now I probably could...

The Dark Knight--I had SUCH a good time in that outfit at Dragoncon 06. Such a good time. It was the first time wearing spandex, and even though I'd worked out like a mad dog, I was still nervous as heck wearing it. The whole Batsuit was based on the "Dead End" version, save that instead of a plain gray spandex, it had lots of little bats, similar to the Spiderman and Superman movie suits.

I was astounded how well it went over...especially with the females. Who woulda thought- superhero fangirls?? No kidding?? I had Noooo idea!!

The phrase: "It's good to be the Bat" was coined there...

Back on topic- I got one of those loose "Mogadishu" bodies- while on one had, it would be great for Hicks or any short sleeved Marine, and the coloration isn't too off (less "peach" in the shade), and while these bendy hands do hold the PR, there's not a whole lot of posability with them. Run a brown wash over them, and a few good poses, certainly not any aiming ones. And I got two of them...

Still, it'll probably work out okay.

Yeah Hollis, i requested to let the light shine through the grills on the sides of the lamp like as seen on screen.
And if i see his other work, it should be freaking awesome.
The normal Lamp job he does is awesome too,
but i wanted to let him take it to the next level
It was more complicated then we had expected, thats why its taking a little long.
In his own words once the prototype is finished it would be piss to him to make more.
And he is expecting more people to want the new mod,
So need to be jealous My friend, as soon as i get it back i will post some pictures.

Hmm, ya dont say Hollis, maybe i should buy one off those 1/1 armor sets, man never can get enough attention from the lady's LOL

I dont have many good ideas, but this was a good one.
Hope that the final steps will be easy for Hurricane, cant be long now,
I will show the lamp ASAP.

He is just working on the first one
(the prototype) as soon as it is ready, ille be sending my other lamps as well.

Hurricane also did a motion tracker for me, so i think i will make some first pictures while hudson is holding the motion tracker with a working lamp on his shoulder.
Cant wait!!! thats for sure.
And no worries for you Mudshark , although you have bin waiting a little while, this way you can first check the new mod out.
And the step probably would be bigger if you already had the old Mod, Anyway,
i think you can look at the bright-side for missing the old mod

, if i remember it good ,then think i got my motivation for real lamps from that vid.,
Also saw a motion tracker in a vid in the first weeks i got here, never saw that vid again. maybe someone could post that one also
And BTW, smell somebody who suffers from noob-fear and PM -trauma ,agh just ignore him... maybe if he is still her in a year

Hey guys, got most of my Colonial Marines finished so far, at least what I can afford to finish.
Thanks for all the help from you guys, if I didnt see this thread I wouldn't have been able to even attempt to customize them.

And yes, Hicks isn't the correct head sculpt just yet, I'm working on that as well.

Cheers D-chaos, I know Vas's sleeves are not correct but I couldnt bring myself to cut them up just yet, maybe if I get more sets of BDU's I will.

I haven't done as many mods as most of you guys here, but I did switch my Hicks over to an updated True Type and got him a new head (repainted Stoner) from RollingJ. Very happy with this figure now.
