I finished shooting my stop motion film today. I'll have to wait at least a week or two before I get the film back though, and then I still have to edit it. So that means I am done with Prophecy Buffy. She was a pain to work with since she had such loose joints. So, to take out my frustration on her, I made her the victim of a certain favorite pyschopath of mine.

The first two pics are with a flash, the third without. This was also my first attempt at eyes! So please let me know what you think.

Glad you like it Josh. I'm hoping they go this route in the Dark Knight. That one pic of the fake Batman has me thinking they might.

I'll probably work on her more tomorrow, probably make the slit in her throat/and/or mouth more appearent. I am quite happy with the eyes though. I figured them rolling up might be a good first attempt because it would be OK if they weren't completely centered or painted perfect.

Any idea if the hair would burn if I put her in the oven if I add some sculpey to her?

You did a good job on the eyes considering it is your first set. Eyes are HARD. But you did an honorable job, she certainly looks convincing. Both eyes look set in the proper direction.

As for Baking, I think you could do it. Just bake it at right under 250, maybe even 210. Just to be sure the head doesn't flatten on you. It is hollow and kinda thin. The hair I don't think would melt, but I can not guarantee that. Never done that myself. :lol

Yeah I know eyes are probably the hardest part about painting and I'm afraid of them. But I figure I will never improve if I don't ever try. And this seemed like the perfect opportunity since it wouldn't matter much if they didn't come out great.

The only other "figures" I have tried eyes on where some junk Barbie/Ken head that I used briefly in my project. Those were hard because the eyes aren't sculpted, they are just painted on the flat face.

Thanks for the support as always Josh. :rock

Thanks man. I basically did steps 1, 3, and 6 (minus the pink area). I guess less layers may add to that "dead" look in the eyes.

I added a noose around her neck, and I think she looks much better for some reason. Wish I could display her hanging somehow.

You are right about the dead look. It's usually much lighter, less color or depth of color in the iris and pastier pink underneath. Or even brown. :lol

Cool idea on the noose! :rock

Its been a long time since I last had an update! Unfortunately the four figures I am working on all fall under the next Custom Challange so I'm saving them for that.

But I have finished shooting my Stop Motion project, but have yet to get all of my footage back. I'm hoping for it to be finished by next week. Even then it will only be the "work print" since my school ran out of money this semester to properly transfer it, which will have to wait till the Fall.

Anway, on to my latest creation! Its my Joker victim, but I've updated her a bit. Gave her runny mascare since she would clearly be sobbing quite a bit as the Joker carved into her. Also added some faint sweat running down her forehead and made her cuts a bit darker. Also added gloss to those places for a wet look.

First pic is with a flash. Les may want to close his eyes now (even though its not "Buffy" anymore ;) )

Glad you like it. I'm quite pleased with it myself. The runny mascara just came to me today and I thought it would be perfect. Plus it adds that Joker black eye make-up quality to her. The sweat was just a spur of the moment idea. It subtle, but I think it could be easy to over do it.

And like I said, this Buffy figure was a pain to work with in my stop motion project so this is really my revenge on her.

After looking at the Joker victim longer, I thought of something that was missing. Bruises! Having watched a lot of CSIs lately, I realized anyone getting pinned down and having their face carved up would have struggled, and therefore would have had bruises on their wrists and neck.

It looks better in person. The not compeletely dried paint and flash are making it too shiny. She looks like one sad, abused girl right now.

Not bad, although I would add some more color to the bruises to make them look more realistic. Add some yellow, black, red...really just look up photographs of real bruises and mimic them onto your figure, and it'll look even better.

Yeah I was thinking that to after they dried. I actually put some yellow down first, but the purple just covered it all up. The trick is to blend them all together now and not make it look like pasty yellow sores and stuff. :lol

But I'll take that as a compliment. I think many people are surprised just how closely me and DarkArtist think.

In this pic, I've lightened up the bruises with some yellow, and then painting over them lightly with some flesh tone, since bruises would actually be under the surface of the skin. Looks better I think. Not quite as vibrant.

holy hell........that pic is spooky..........DA did a wonderful job on that joker. thats an awesome dio btw.

Thanks. Les actually painted mine though, but DA's are just as awesome.

oops........sorry les..........BM I didn't go back further than the last page & you mentioned DA so i assumed it was by him. i should have listened to my dad's saying about when one assumes........i usually make an ass of u and me :D. great work & either one's versions simply kick arse. :rock
