Awesome shot man!! I love it, you and I see things in the same disturbing manner. :lol

Sometimes I think I am one bad day away from being the Joker myself. :D

And I LOVE seeing shots of the Les Joker head. The man made me proud on that one. To have a head that I resculpted, he cast, I painted and then he painted yours based on set pics and my own paint pics as reference??? That's awesome. And then it came full circle when I used HIS repaint as reference for my own future Joker paintups. I love it.

That is the best part about Les and I working together on so many things. We push each other to new heights and help develop one another's talents. It's a great partnership, one that I am proud to be a part of. And when it helps make my friends happy, it's even more rewarding. :rock:rock:rock

Yes, you and I are both pretty sick individuals :lol And I totally know how you feel about being a day away from turning into the Joker. There are times I would love nothing more than to flip out. This usually is within the area of a Wal-Mart :rotfl

And I'm proud that my particular Joker head has only pushed yours and Les' talents even further. I was worried that having him paint your sculpt instead of you may have hurt feelings, but I'm glad you understood the situation that that you were already great friends with Les. You guys definately push eachother and it only makes BOTH of your work better! :rock

I remember Les asking me if it was ok if he could paint it, and I told him I would be absolutely HONORED for him to do so. He was worried that he couldn't top what I did, which I knew would not be a problem at all for Les. I told him to just go with it and to make it his own. Which, he SO VERY MUCH did. And it in turn got me excited and I was then looking at his workin and wanting to incorporate things he had done into my own work. It really is great, makes for awesome stuff...

And speaking of going crazy... check this out. :lol

:lol that's awesome! Even in a quick photoshop you are great at that Joker make-up! That really is great. I know you said you wanted to dress up as the Joker for work around the film's release, but remember, SDCC is the Halloween of the summer ;)

Man, do I wish I could make it to SDCC. Every single year I try so hard to get there and every single year something financial hits me and keeps me from attending.

HT and SSC need to have a really bad year eventually, just so I can manage the trip. Florida is TOO far away from EVERYTHING. :lol

You're not going this year? Darn. I thought you were planning on it earlier. Stupid economic crunch! But if you need help with exclusives, let me know. I owe you.

Yeah, I really do wish I could. ESPECIALLY this year. It happens to me every year, I never have any money available. It really is a stretch that I have been able to get the collectibles I do. Most of my commission money goes to parts and bills. :lol

I should be ok on Exclusives... but if you hear of any cool Joker stuff.. you let me know. I know I will be interested in that. :D

Yeah, quite a few of our fellow Dark Knight followers are interested in Joker stuff :lol I'll definately keep my eyes peeled this year. I'm still pissed I never heard about the first viral thing and Why So Serious Dollar bills last year :banghead

This is still a work in progress, but enough to show off now.

Works great for a small diorama for 12" figures like LotR or the Endor Troopers:

Or a large diorama for smaller figures like GI Joes:

And the flash is just making the mud look splotchy, it doesn't look like that in person.

I love those trees! Very nice, much more than the bloodbaths I keep having to skip over in your threads. :lol I'd love trees like that to place behind my LOTR figures--they really do add a lot!

:lol

They aren't that hard to make either. Just styrofoam. Unfortunately the Michaels I went too was out of the brown kind, so I used green then painted them brown and dark brown. You can still see some green in the pics, but I just say it is moss ;)

Other than the styrofoam powder mess, they are fairly easy to do with just a pointed instrument. I used a a tool from my basic ceramic kit.

Ah, I see. I have no idea where I'd get a ceramic kit, nor if I could even afford one. :lol

Maybe I'll have to come steal--er, borrow yours. :D

Just go to a Michales or Roberts Craft stores. A ceramic tool kit is like $10. You can get the pointy sculpting tool seperate as well I think. Plus if you just wait for a Sunday ad, they usually have a 40% off coupon every week. I never pay retail for anything there anymore :lol

Here is a TDK Joker Goon Sculpt I am working on. I have no doubt Hot Toys will bring us the Bank Heist Joker, but I'm not so sure on the Goons yet. So, I decided to make my own. My favorite of the masks is the one that seems to be getting the most attention anyway. Mattel's Goon figure was of this mask, and is actually one of my biggest references for sculpting it.

This is still a work-in-progress! About 60% done I'd say. The Major details are there more or less, but now its adding little things to improve and bring out the look. Not sure if I'll try "rooted" hair or just sculpt it.

VERY NICE! You did an amazing job, really captured the look of that mask. :rock

I absolutely cannot wait to see it painted.

Thanks Josh! I fixed the smile a bit today among some other tweaks. I'd say about 70% finished now. Hopefully I'll finish it by the end of the week. I think the paint will really be what brings out the "likeness" though.

Best thing about that "making of the Joker masks" on Comcast is that it is of this mask, and they even paint it, which shows the correct steps in doing it! That should help things a bit.
