1/6 Buying just ONE Iron Man - which one?

I loved the pentagon chest piece from the comics! If that ever makes it into an armor, I may have to buy that figure. Yet, I really hate the triangle on the Mark 6. But among the MCU looks, I prefer the circle arc reactors, especially the Mark 3. Go figure...

I bought the Sentinel Armorize Iron Man (Don't know why they can't call it Invincible Iron Man )

Which includes the comic sculpt as well, amazing piece. But the gaint clasp on his arms are the only issue I had with it.

Hope the MCU will go extremis soon, even though the Bleeding Edge is next

Admirable but I'm not sold on all the Avengers suits. Mk42 and 43 in particular are just two different paint variations. I know that HT is just following the movie designs but that makes it no less frustrating.

...although I do secretly hope we get Gemini/Starboost featured in and Avengers movie so they whip out a die-cast version.

If I had to choose one I'd probably go Mark 3 personally...but I've got the Mark 42 and it is incredible too...I'll let you know about the Mark 43...he should be here this week. I'm a fan of the Mark 7 too. I too have the problem where I can have just one Ironman armor.

Mark III is more classic but Mark XLIII seems pretty darn cool. Both say they come with a sculpt which includes a likeness of Robert Downey Jr but there is no picture on the Mark III page.

I understand that Mark XLIII is a repaint of Mark XLII and an exclusive of the Diecast of Mark III may also have been released. Anyone have any comparison shots or recommendations to help me decide between Mark XLIII and Mark III?

Get the Mark III because thats the most iconic movie Iron Man armor (and the Mark IV is the best looking one).

I think when most people think of a figure being "iconic" they think of the most universal representation of the character. The Mark III fits this description for many people because it was the first red and gold armor in the MCU and has some of the classic comic feel to it, but for some people the Mark VI or VII feels more classic to them. A lot of this depends on how we know the character best in the comics or movies. The Hulkbuster armor is a classic armor in the comics and MCU but is too specialized (IMO) to be more universally recognizable as Iron Man in an iconic way. Again, this is just my opinion, and if Hulkbuster is someone's favorite armor and they are getting just one Iron Man I can see why that would be the way to go for them. It does look awesome.

This is just my IMHO, I could say, it depends on the person's taste and personality and their target audience...

Like for most people, (like my wife and previous GF's) they cannot determine what model of armor it is, but for them it looks cool... and I think.. hulkbuster will win on this..due to the sheer size and extra complexity.

But for some people, who I can say are very into it, they can very will stick to their favorite model number

Now that I've got the Mark 43 in hand I'm a bit bias towards it...it's a beautiful figure, diecast and the details to the paint are amazing. I've always been partial to the Mark 3 and I'm still waiting on my diecast but for now I'd personally lean towards the 43. I'll probably end up changing my mind ten times over in the future.

In my opinion, the Mk43 bar none, is the best iron man yet.

It's probably my favourite "modern" armour. I have the Figuarts displayed next to my Mark IV and it's one hell of a design. The Hot Toys 1/6 version is rendered beautifully.
