They are called premium format figures are they not?

They are called that by Sideshow, but they aren't articulated, so I don't consider them figures. I realize that a a sculpture of a person can be considered a figure, but I think when a company also makes action figures, to call a sculpture a figure is rather odd. They should be called premium format sculptures, I think.

Damn, I tried putting cbg on ignore, but couldn't hack it. I just had to see this debacle play out. So I unignored him.

I think you all know I want some great R2 love in my collection. Well, I sent off a request to this ewok seller, asking him to take payment from me upon shipping of the droids set. I half did it to test his resolve and see what's up with all this crooked business, and half because I would actually like to have that R2. I didn't fully realize that the pair (in exclusive and clean version) come on separate bases, where the dirty pair come on just one. Then I got to thinking that Sideshow is up to it's old tricks and there may be separate editions of each droid later. That would be the best scenario for me, because I really want an R2, and would consider up to that $400, but not really $800 for the pair. Maybe if he's in agreement about selling now and taking payment later, I can sell off just the C-3PO to someone who is the yin to my yang. Loves me some Artoo!

Also, how are there so many of these on eBay anyway? They would all be preorders. Some even blatantly break the rules of eBay to the best of my knowledge. Deposit! WTF!

We'll see if I get a response. :D

There's no need to ask because I've already did it. He needs the full payment up front. If it was a partial deposit I would have already bought his last set. But who knows he might change his mind. If he say ok and no one wants it hell I'm in for sure for a second set. :wink1: but I really don't care if it's partial or full, just as long as I can get the ex Droids set for better then retail then I'm good. :)

I agree, I was really just being a smart arse - some PFs do have articulation though e.g. Stormtrooper, Robocop, Emperor allowing some variation with poses.

The Threepio is by far the most articulated PF SSC has ever done - it is pretty unique in that regard. It nearly as articulated as 1/6 Threepio "figures."

The possibility of "clean" single re-issues of these droids crossed my mind too - i.e. just with either ESB or ROTJ specific additions or bases (Jabba's palace floor, snow base, medical frigate)

I am just in the market for a clean Threepio (the reason I have waited so long on pulling the trigger on the set,) so a single offering in the regular PF price range would be perfect.

You are the Yin to my Yang! :hi5:

And you got me with that Hoth base idea!

If I can score this set, wanna buy the single clean Threepio?

It's already Idiot-Proof. Whichever you want to reply to in the same window - Choose 'Multi' for each of them.

I got really lucky and bought mine from the sculptor himself, who signed it for me. It is by far my most special piece.

I wish I had that SPock PF man.

Takes a lot to drive me bat **** insane. But cbg has it in spades!

I've never seen somebody take such a stupid risk before, which seems to continue to grow exponentially with each inane post he makes.
