I think that's what a few of us have been postulating on these past few pages here. Maybe it's wishful thinking, but I have a feeling that with the already made separate bases for the exclusive, that we might see these two droids offered separately...

I disagree in EP1 and EP2 3PO looked completely different. R2D2 on the other hand looked almost identical with the exception of his rocket boosters.
They looked different in every movie of the PT. From dirty to clean, it changed all the time!
