I saw that. Looked at it in the zoom section. WOW! They look great. I still like a dirty R2 better but 3PO looks amazing. R2 looks great also but he is to much of an action star to look so clean:)

Same here.
I like the weathered look for those extra details.
Makes them look life-like.

Yes, the exclusive comes with the "Yavin themed bases" which have nothing to do with Yavin. :cuckoo:

I liked both versions but I like the ex better because I'm always a bling lover. So ex is for me! I can't wait to see the sunlight hit the chrome on the Droids!

Just make sure you only display the exclusive 3PO in an airtight display case, otherwise the chrome will chip and peel in a few years time.

These were going to sell regardless on what the exclusive was. I think it's stupid you can't display both droids on one base with the exclusive, though.

In a way I am happy you can't. It would have drove me just a little more crazy that I missed the EX. Even though I like the Reg a little more, that EX 3PO just looks sweeeeet!!

:exactly: chrome baby. Bling bling! :hi5: the shine would be so nice to look at.

Had the chance with the EX. Glad I didn't.

:horror I admit I was thick headed and was waiting for a ES to show up not knowing it was gone when I turn the computer back on in a few hrs after work. Was shocked at the TBD thing gone to 200!

Edition sizes are good in all cases... If you spend $800 on a collectible you want to be able to keep and display it... but if you fall ill or die and need to pass it on or something comes up where you need money you should be able to sell it on the secondary market for close to or what you paid for it.

No Edition sizes at all would make things be worth much much less than the original cost in most cases.

There is something nice about knowing you have 1 of only 100 or 500 of something.

NOW with that said I do thing the edition size on these droids for the EX could have been 1000 or at least 500 to give more people a chance. The regular is unlimited though so I will pick that up and be content with it as it looks phenomenal!

I'm sure someone can shed more light on this but i definately heard this on facebook that the regular would now be an open ES and only the Exclusive would have a limited run

so far it still says Limited Edition on the Sideshow website. So without a valid source, it's still a rumor.
