I know whatvu mean jaws and u right... so ridiculous that its almost funny..
But for that amount of money...

What's really dumb about that: Maybe your'e not complete with just a new faceplate.
It must be the same Color as your 3po. When inspecting my few i noticed every C-3po Looks a Little different in paint (some darker, same more weahtered...).
Maybe you should go for a complete new 3po.

I didn't think of this.
Hopefully it doesn't need to go this far.

Honestly I would prefer a whole new set. .. even the metal thing with the hot glue came out of r2... I informed ssc about that as well and will see what they gonna say hopefully tomorrow...

Got my reg set of droids last week. As everyone agrees, they are awesome. Very happy with them and as much as the EX versions look good in pics, I can't imagine I'd be happier with them.

To me this is how the droids are supposed to look.

so I will have my R2 body replaced because of the metal thing and glue problem and have to destroy it... ghosh what a waste... I hope I get replacement soon and they wont forget 3Pos face this time ... ^^

I finally got mine. Unfortunately, the light-up feature for C-3PO doesn't work. I'll have to try and change the batteries, and if that doesn't help I hope that SSC or my retailer can help me.

Here's my unboxing

SSC can't help you. You should get the replacement directly from your retailer. He must deal with his wholesaler which is the Sideshow Distributor.

I guess your retailer did not inspect your set?

Let your stuff be inspected in the future. It prevents much Problems :)

Hope you get all resolved soon!

I just picked mine up yesterday and I have to say I feel cheated a bit as this is not worth 650 euros. The figures and base are great and well painted and the lights are fantastic but they are basically a couple of plastic figures and not worth the pricetag.

Your lights are probably fine as I had some bother getting the batteries in the face-plate to start with but you have to make sure they are both facing the same way and they are the right way round, I had mine in the wrong way to start with then i turned them round and it worked fine.

Well, if they are worth the price tag or not is a relative question. It's also an ever ongoing discussion how much the weight and material matters when it comes to statues.

I agree that they are light, and that does affect your view on them somewhat. Still, they look fantastic. The paint job is exquisite.

I have tried facing the batteries both ways. Still, they don't seem to work. But can you tell me what way is the correct one? Just so I don't have to try again and again, once I get the new batteries.

Here's a bunch of pictures.

My complete collection is basically of plastic. Every statue i own is of Polystone and Polystone IS Plastik (Resin) with stonepowder.

The Stonepowder makes the statue heavy and the cost are much much less as if the used Resin only. Resin is the expensive part in Polystone. The Stonepowder just lowers costs and makes the "worthy"-feel which is actually quite the opposite....

If they did R2 in Polystone you had NO articulated Legs and parts.

Is weight so important for the collector nowadays? Think twice before answering :)
