Ok here's what I had
I never had the Story of SW as a kid... I had Empire and Jedi. I use to put the record player on repeat and listen to them over and over at night. I now have them all (including SW) downloaded on a MP3 disc... And if I am really having trouble falling a sleep... I put that disc in and I am out in about 10 min. The disc has a ton of other story records from when I was a kid also. Indiana Jones and the TOD, and The Black Hole. But I also put the old POWER Records superhero stories on there. Batman, Hulk, Spidey... All those great (somewhat poorly acted) stories that I listen to at bed time... I can put anyone of them on and it will help me fall asleep LOL..
As far as the movie records go with the original dialogue and music from the film... Isn't it funny that that was how we use to watch movies over and over again... In our mind. Since there was no owning a film on tape or DVD yet. The only way to see a film that was not at the movies was on record. It's also what got me into film scores. It was a way I could see the film again in my mind.
I remember also when Star Wars first hit Showtime (or HBO I don't remember which) and I watched it at my friends house and I taped the whole thing on my cassette recorder. (It took up two tapes LOL) and I would listen to that night after night. I sort of miss those days
