The edition size on this is ridiculous and asinine at the other extreme to what Batman and Ivy PF's are. This gets a vague clue, lauches at 3am my time and is up for 3 hours and a week later Batman PF EX is up for 3 days... What the ____? It should at least match the normal edition sizes for the rest of the Star Wars line at 500.
I only collect Prequel Trilogy PF's and have all the Ex's except the first Luke and now the line is screwed over.
Thanks heaps Sideshow.

Yeah, it was pretty poor form on this one.

If the ES is just 200, then why are they still accepting Waitlist now?? Obviously, all those who get their WL in from this point onwards have virtually no hope of seeing a conversion. Unless... They are planning an International Edition!!!! ;)

Only 200?? Wow that really surprise me . They usually will put this as limited edition .

The funny thing is that the regular version with the cool base and weathering is much better than the exclusive. It should have been inverted.

I always thought of the SW universe (at least in OT) to be used and far from pristine. The regular with the cool weathering really brings that up.

How can the droids be so different and Batman be so similar when it comes to EX vs. Reg. Crazy. Just a frickin Baterang?

I find it ironic about this ES: 200 pieces for how the droids looked for 5 seconds of screen time and on separate bases when fans around the world view them as a duo; and a TBD ES where the droids are dirtied up how they looked through most of the movies and come on one singular base capable of the iconic pose where they are presented as a duo.

I suppose they wanted the masses to be able to own the iconic pose. Who really knows what they were thinking.:dunno

:exactly:

It makes good business sense to limit the shiny version, as most people in this thread wanted the dirty version prior to release.

At the end of the day this still a collectible hobby. Make 200 of a great character and people will go crazy for it, make 200 and there will b much less enthusiasm, make it an open edition and no one cares.

I have no problem with the Low number. since I can get the Droids anyways with the better base.

However I can see how upsetting it would be to those who collect Prequal PFs or just really liked the clean ones better.

But that is the name of this crazy game SS plays. You snooze you lose. You don't snooze you get a large or open edition size. :)

I snoozed on the Droids. I did not know they would go up for sale so early. But in a way it was a blessing as I would have been going nuts trying to pick one. Pick the EX with the bad bases (IMO), the better looking 3PO, but the worse looking R2?? Or do I ge the better base, better Looking R2, not as cool looking 3PO?? I also think the reg edition looks more OT and is how I think of the droids. But man that shiney gold 3PO looks great.

Because the EX sold out I did not have to think about it. And if I got the EX and found out how low the number was I would have had to order the reg with plans to sell the EX because I just would not be able to help myself since I basically like the Reg editon better. But I can't afford to pre order 2 of these and wait for the EX to increase in value. I don't like being a flipper anyways.

So I am happy with my Reg edition.
