I can't get a straight answer from anyone who has gone prestige, but what are the advantages of going prestige? If any?

From what I hear, you have to unlock your weapons again, loose some perks, grenade warning icon.

Do you gain any addition perks or multiple weapon attachment options? other than tacky looking gold weapons, and a shiny icon?

i only went to the first prestige and i wish i didnt cause i had to get all my stuff that i unlocked back and i dont think its worth it unless you want to show people that your went more levels than they did

I went prestige so many times to keep the game interesting. Once you complete all the challenges the only way to unlock them again is by going prestige. Plus you get a crap load more points by unlocking and completing everything again.

Yeah, no offense to prestige players, but it looked to me as it's just "Nerd Cred", no real advantage, edge, or reward to look forward to, other than making the game more challenging.

It's not additional challenges, but once you complete a challenge it's done. If all challenges are completed there is nothing to work towards. The only way to get the challenges to open back up is by going prestige. As for the ranking up, well, that comes along with it. That's another challenge in the game.

Way to listen to some sound advice . Once you get used to the controls, this game is a blast. I was playing with P!tu for about an hour last night and I forgot how much I missed this game (but not him ).

The only other person I saw playing COD4 was my cousin. You were playing GH3. You don't need to wait for an invite bro. You have an open invitation to join us no matter what we're playing.

One quick bit of advice. I recommend tweaking the controls. I think most of us changed the knife attack to B so it's like a melee attack on Gears or Halo. And the run to holding the left stick in like on Halo. It will just help since you're still learning the controller.

I switched to the Tactical setup which for me works much better.
