ran across a guy yesterday who had 29days of play amassed.
how the hell do you have a month's worth of play when the game has barely been out 3 months? :lol

Well now I don't fell so bad with my ten days, lol. I've seen on elite that there are dudes that have over 150,000 kills!!:horror:horror

I'm still loving this game, but I definitely need a break I think. I'm picking up Alan Wake when I get off. I never played the first one and I know the new one comes out next month. I'm hoping to get Gears 3 next. I need something else to occupy my time with besides MW3 and Call of Duty period.

Everyone on here wants a break from MW3 now that I'm playing it again LOL.

I don't want a break, I just need something to occupy my time when everyone else is off doing other things. Part of my problem is that I get on and play for a few hours by myself and by the time you or someone else jumps on, I'm done for the night. If nothing else maybe we can just exchange numbers so we can just text each other when we get on.

Yeah, I know exactly what you mean. That happens to me a lot too. I've gotten to the point with these online shooters tha I just can't play them alone anymore. It's just no fun, so I end up turning the system on every once in a while t see if anyone's on. If o one is, I just turn it off.

Baram obacka thats my xbox and ps3 gamer tag lol if anybody wants to add me up go ahead.

I don't play this game a ton on live, but I have fun when I do. The only issue I really have is the spawning. Spawning the enemy directly behind you after you spawn isn't so awesome.

Heh. Like I said before, I haven't played a combat multiplayer game in a LONG time (since GoldenEye). I think I put in a couple of hours on a HALO game once on a relative's XBox.

Haven't bought MW3 yet, but I thought I'd give it a try in one of the older COD games I already have. I ran several maps on the Combat Training free-for-all mode of Black Ops. There's going to be a steep learning curve on this. I got beat-up pretty good by the AI ... got some kills in, but I'm not to the point of actually having a strategy yet. I'm running about 2:1 deaths:kills against the AI, and I figure live play would be significantly more grueling.

Still not sure what my "play style" is. So far, its run-and-gun with an M16 or MP5, which is a bit haphazard. Haven't tried sniping yet. Still getting used to the killstreak options ... though I'm getting more practice with deathstreaks than killstreaks.

I'll figure this thing out yet. If I'm wanting to eventually get into MW3 ... is it better to practice on BOps or MW2? BOps seems to have a better practice mode.

f you want an MW3 im selling mine for 40$ shipped.

The only way to really practice is to get online and go for it. Getting owned is all part of the learning process and for most people (like me) it's a regular part of playing online in general. MW3 is very similar to MW2, but of course the maps are different, the weapons are similar but different, the perks and killstreaks are a bit different, etc, so the only real way to practice at MW3 is to play MW3. BLOPS and the MW series have very different feels to them even though they technically use the same engine. If you're interested, I say just go for it. It won't hurt anything hehe.

Yeah. Gave BOps live multiplayer a shot today. Not altogether depressing. I didn't come in last every time. Heh. Improved a bit over the afternoon.

I suspect things will improve as my weapons improve, and as I get used to using less conventional weapons. I'm still rough with grenades, mines are out of my league at the moment, and I don't think I'm anywhere close to using helicopter support (though I got mowed down by choppers a time or two).

At this point, its almost exclusively CQB for me. I like the stopping power of the shotgun ... but that two-shot thing is just inadequate. This ain't duck hunting. Ducks don't shoot back. After a couple of runs with the shotgun, had to go back to the MP5. I did pick up some cool weapons off dead guys, though.

Not quite tactically proficient enough to snipe yet either ... though the sniper rifle is fun on those rare occasions that presented themselves. Still, they don't work too well for run-and-gunning, so I ended up running around with a 1911, and switching to the sniper rifle occasionally. Not ideal.

Its a work in progress.

I'm officially done with this game! I've never seen such garbage in my life!

That being said, I'll be on this evening if anyone wants to join me :lol
